Hi, I run a web design and SEO biz and I have my hands super full right now and I am looking to outsource some work to professionals who know what they are doing.

Do you have recommendations of the best place to find active freelancers who specialize in Wordpress,, basically doing installs, customizations, css, content, SEO etc?

A lot of the work is basic customizations and set up of Wordpress and HTML themes found here… or basically premium themes. Basically taking a theme and turning it into a real website.

Please let me know, thank you!

Btw, I am including these keywords so people who are looking for this can find this post… ( hire, freelance, job, work, paid, outsource, firm, business )

Thanks again,

Jeff

I’m about ready to start looking for some remote designers… but I’m not sure the best place to look.

Thanks.

I know why they are using this method of referral links… for the link juice or pagerank they receive. And yes, definitely mod-rewrite is involved for their nice static urls

Does anyone know if you need to include the ending / slash to the main urls?

I know some urls’ end in /’s and some don’t.

like /

It would be nice if this was clear.

Doing work one time and getting paid for it over and over again is the key to wealth. That’s why producing your own products online is a great idea, whether it be a template or another type of digital product.

Envato knows this and instead of doing the work to design products themselves they have the power to create a marketplace and then take a share of your earnings to promote it… because they have the audience and it’s easier to harness the power many users provide.

I think themeforest is a good place to start if you’re just starting out and if your templates sell it will give you a taste of what making money online feels like. Then once you get good enough you can cut out the middle man, or keep him depending on what works for you.

I’d raise up the navigation so it’s not butt up against the lower header. I’d also add a regular contact form page so people don’t have to manually type out his email address to contact him. And then I’d optimize it for SEO … meaning I’d customize each pages title tag and meta description, use an H1 tag for each page,, not just Thomasdecks.com which is what it is right now. I’d optimize it for Cincinnati keywords if that is where he’s located.

I’d also not link the home button to http://thomasdecks.com/default.htm but to http://thomasdecks.com/

Maybe try removing that header bar that reads “call now for an estimate” altogether. It doesn’t need to be there.

You could also add a link to the footer back to the domain that has a title of “cincinnati deck builder” since that is what Google suggest when you start typing cincinnati deck… That will help boost his rankings,, but he probably needs more backlinks.

Good luck man.

It looks like you hacked up a free theme.

First thoughts,, colors are horrific. That neon bluish/purple background color or whatever it is, is a poor choice. And it doesn’t go with the other light greenish whatever it is color. And orange as a highlight?

There’s no place for a logo… just a banner?

Rounding some of the corners on the boxes and not others was done why?

I’d spend some time going through some of the free templates you can get online because no one wants to pay for something when they can get the same quality for free.

I don’t mean to be harsh it’s just you should take a look at the big sellers here and figure out what your template is missing. I mean you want to sell your template right?

Good luck!
