Hello,

I recently made my first project on Themeforest, and I submitted it. When the Envato team reviewed it, they told me it’s rejected due to lack of quality, but also because of copyright problems.

I used a few pictures in a slideshow in my project. But I was wondering, if this is illegal, how do other authors handle getting stock photo’s? Please don’t tell me to buy them if there is another way out.

Thank you.

Thanks for the help guys. I found the license of the font, so as mentioned above I can use it. Thanks again. Somebody close this please.

Hello again, community.

Yes, I’m back with the same question, because I’m not quite sure yet.

Can I use downloaded fonts from the web and embed them with the @font-face method without my project being rejected?

Please only post if you have an answer. I don’t want unnecessary posts.

Thank you.

I don’t know, nor care why you guys all go off-topic. I’m asking a question, and I just want an answer. How hard can it be. Oh my god.

Your rudeness is completely uncalled for.

In an attempt to resolve this, the answer is simple:

yes

However, doing it the way you proposed is both more complicated than it needs to be and arguably the wrong way to go if you’re interested in keeping your server load minimized. The purpose of the Google web font directory is that they host and serve the fonts for you. That’s what Pixelworkshop was saying. Just add the code to your template and you’re done: (see steps 3 & 4 http://www.google.com/webfonts#UsePlace:use/Collection:Quicksand )

Oh my gosh finally a human answer. Thank you so much. Can somebody close this? Solved. Thanks again mate.

Why downloading the font ? Just 2 lines of code and it’s done, no need to make a copy :)

You don’t get it. I wanna use a custom font. Don’t post anything if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Hello community,

I’ve been working on my first project recently, and I’m stuck with a problem. I want to use the @font-family method to embed custom fonts on the project. But I had a question, can I use the downloaded Google web font called “QuickSand” (more information) without my project being rejected, whatsoever?

Thank you very much. Cheers, Oussama.
