just stay away from hp

Having a single bad experience doesn’t mean that the brand is bad. HP is one of the best out there.

I would recommend the Sony Vaio VPCF236HA with an i7 processor, 8GB Ram Memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphic card. It only costs $1,500 here.

p.s: I’m buying this the next week, so I still can’t give a review now. but it’s the best thing I can find.

Support is optional, so only consider items where there is “Available support”. For me, I try to answer at 24/48hours. That is, if you are looking for instant support, then you should also see a label mentioning “Instant Support 24/24”.

Finally, there is a rate button; Just use it. There is no reason for this thread.

It looks like he is an author (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:-BAsfQPcB_MJ:audiojungle.net/user/Dreamsfall/portfolio+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk) Are you sure you haven’t made any wrong doing? Didn’t you receive any email about it?

Ooops, I think I misspelled Jeremy name in my last post, sorry for that.

@codingjack It’s also about personal preferences. Personally I would prefer that the user waits for a couple of seconds watching a loader, and then have a great experience, than having glitches while browsing the gallery. If I’m mad about memoization, I’ll create a function which saves the accessed values in another object, and the real (complete object) becomes like the proto chain.

Memory is cheap, accessing the DOM is expensive. If you have 5,000 nodes in your gallery and the user is going to access a couple of them, then it doesn’t make sense to store 5,000 different objects in a JavaScript array.

If you have 200 nodes, and the user will access 50 or 60 of them, (or maybe all of them) then it makes sense to cache the information in JavaScript.

The memoization pattern suggested by Jermery is only useful if the user is accessing the same items again and again. GitHub is a good example of that. If HTML5 is an option, you may want to use the Cache Storage.

Lots of options, but if you can tell us about your users behavior, we can give better solutions ;)

It is fully ethical and acceptable to make millions of $$ with the product without giving the author a penny. He licensed it under MIT , so from the very beginning he is not looking for money for this. If he picked the license by mistake, then he ought to be responsible for the consequences.

mpc made only a couple thousands dollars from this. It’s very little comparing to the potential projects/gigs the author could get if he approached mpc for a link in his website or a small feature. The author is clearly unprofessional, and lacking both in business and diligence.

mpc, I have just purchased the fat HTML5 Canvas book from Oreilly exactly to get in this field of interaction design for the web. I’m looking for awesome ideas to start hacking on and that looks like a good entry project. The script will be MIT licensed (or GPL /MIT); no threats, no noise and no bullshit. Free to use, and no blame if you don’t donate.

You can reach me on Skype (omar-abid) if you have ideas/suggestions or thinking of improvements that can be made to the project.

My earnings dropped around 40%, but I think it’s reasonable since the last couple of months I have launched two new products.

I got lots of freelancing gigs though, so it didn’t bother me much.
