Overall there’s a 25% drop this month and when I look at the second half alone it’s probabbly around 50%. By this rate next month will be a nightmare!
I guess it’s time to upload!
Wow so many different views on this. I think 50 years is a way too optimistic expectation especially if you’re writing for the market. There’s no guarantee that your earnings won’t drop in half next year and fall into an abyss a year after that!
I think 2-3 years of estimated earnings would be a considerable offer. There are people selling their apps and websites and the price is usually around next 1-2 years’ earnings. Music can go a little higher than that.
@expresssoul Yeah I mean the whole copyrights and everything!
Let’s face it usually authors are creative people and don’t understand the marketing side very much so I’m thinking that a business guy could double or triple the reveneue with the same portfolio. So it could be a lucrative investment for some people!
@prestashopthemes For the next 5 years earnings I would give the keys right away!
I thought there might be a market for this kind of business as in any community there are people in need of cash as well as those with a strong wallet like Mr. Bhuval
... he meant the Spartan club – or the infamous 300! Blackie was a little bit earlier.
Congrats! Go dust of the soot on your paw and let the silver shine
Lol, ok now I get it, there should be a guide to decipher the milestone threads correctly haha
Congrats Andrew, on to the 500 Days of Summer club!
Black paw club? You’ll get the card once you make a vow to never leave
I find that replacing the stars with a like button would end this rating discussion for good. So when buyers want to show some love they press the like button otherwise they do nothing.
I think this could be done just by replacing the frontend graphics and wording without messing with the backend code. For example it would display “55 likes” instead of “4.78 average based on 55 ratings” and the search would sort by likes instead of rating using the same data.
It seems like I need 30-40 new 5-star ratings to recover from the effect of a troll who rated 1 star on one of my tracks.
Envato should do us a favor and remove those unjustified 1-2 star ratings!
Either something is broken or it takes a lot of 5 stars to move it 0.01 upwards!
If your average is 4.74 after 276 ratings, it means that the total number of stars is around (not exactly since 4.74 is rounded up or down) 4.74 * 276 = 1308.24.
If you add a 5-star rating to that, your new average would be (1308.24 + 5) / 277 = 4.74094 which also rounds down to 4.74.
After 5 5-star ratings your average would be (1308.24 + 25) / 281 = 4.74463 which ALSO rounds down to 4.74.So, yes, it does take a lot of 5-star ratings to move up to 4.75 if you already have 276 ratings.
Thanks for the explanation
Can you do your maths magic to show us what happens when you add just a single 1-star rating to the equation?
