I’m not worried about kids with just laptops but kids with full studios are a serious threat:

I already accept it, they can beat me up on the computer music, but I prefer to play the real instruments.

You mean real instruments like this:

If all your education, practice, training and studio equipment collected over years don’t give you an advantage against “a kiddo with a laptop”, you can’t blame the kid for this.

Leave those kids alone guys, they don’t need no education ;)

Sales are low compared to the last month but it might be related to the season (christmas, etc) as well as the search engine changes.

I think we cannot have a good search engine until we get rid of those single keyword titles! How can you sort a hundred tracks called “motivation”, a hundred “motivating”, and a hundred “motivate”. It’s like if you title your next track just “motiv” it would have a better chance :)

Perhaps single word titling should be banned before making any changes to the search engine.

October has been great for me as well. Sales almost doubled although I didn’t upload anything in the last 10 months.

I think getting some recognition and consistent sales here is like building speed on a musical instrument. You practice and practice and it feels like you are getting nowhere but then one day you wake up and find that you’ve improved a lot and it feels easier to build upon that now. Some people reach there in 3 months and some people in 3 years. Some people even never reach there because they don’t stick with a method long enough.

Back to the topic, I think it’s about sticking with a genre long enough so that you’ll reach the point where people will recognize you as a good author in that field. When you reach that point it will be easier to build upon it. Hope that makes sense.

Wishing everyone good luck in the upcoming months as some luck is also needed :)

+1 on having some basic info like:

  • Use: TV commercial
  • Country: Guatemala

But asking for further details might feel like policing the buyers. Whatever it is, envato shouldn’t have a greedy corporate feel.

My latest bet was on real madrid and they lost miserably against dortmund, what a shame!

On topic, I could bet on you NOT reaching 100 sales by that time! This must be motivating for you :)

Bottom line, I’ll get a buyer’s badge :D

It’s bad business for the authors having an item in the bundle as well. Now 10.000 potential buyers won’t buy their items because they already got it for $0.05 each?
Could not disagree more. I’ve made a ton of money in the bundle (made more in first 4 days than in 8 months of being here) and my bundle track has been in the Top Sellers because of all the bundle hype and it is looking to be in the Top Sellers again this week with 12 sales so far.

Congrats on your earnings. By the way, I want to know how much “a ton of money” make exactly? :)

Anyway, don’t think in the short-term. Selling at $0.05 (or so) you’re both undercutting yourself and the whole market. I don’t want to argue about it. Undercutting kills any business, it’s a proven fact.

Someone please kill this bundle now lol! It probably stole half my week’s earnings. On one hand you are offering a single track for $17, on the other hand you are selling a whole bundle of goods for only $20. This is unacceptable!

I can understand the birthday bundle as a compliment to the loyal customers but what is this corporate bundle? It’s bad business for the authors having an item in the bundle as well. Now 10.000 potential buyers won’t buy their items because they already got it for $0.05 each?

If this is good business, let’s all of us offer our whole portfolio for $20, take the money and go away lol!
