Big fan of SalesDonkey since day one on Mac and iPhone. Great news about the update! :) I noticed this evening however that the Mac client is showing the following error message:

“Error: You have been locked out of the API for 1 hour because of too many requests. Please complain to the author of your widget/application.”

Good luck with troubleshooting. Thanks again! :)
Same error here !

I think the problem here is that when multiple people / multiple devices use the API to fetch data, the requests will add up and cause this issue. I will add a checkbox or something that will slow the refresh rate down even further :)

Also the turn off sound checkbox is a good idea, I will look into that too.

It would be good if you could load balance between API keys, that is if the limit is on the key not the user ;)

yeah, I’m afraid that in my testing the API limit seemed to be per username not per API key… I don’t see why there are limits from the Envato’s perspective, I think it should be easy to implement a caching scheme that will only refresh the data every 10 minutes or so..

Oh… it does not work on Snow Leopard (requires 10.7 or later), too bad it because it looks like an application I would love to use in the future.

Hey, I might be able to do something about that, I set the 10.7 deploy target, because I have been experiencing some build issues, but now I think I can build it for Snow Leopard too… Drop us a line via the contact form on our profile page and I’ll see what I can do..

I stopped using the previous version as it was interfering with the mouse/UI interactions: dragging windows would me flaky. Has this been resolved in the latest version?

I’ve wasn’t aware of such an issue, but why don’t you just try it out? Its free :)

Hello, does a version for pc exists?

You can check here: http://extras.envato.com/ if there is another app, but SalesDonkey is available for Mac OS X and iOS only.

Sorry about that but I don’t have a PC to test make it on..

The new website looks great too! I made the icon, so I’m glad that you like it :)

I can confirm, Adrian did a great job! If you need any icons/graphics definitely hire him! He’s been very punctual and hard-working and the icon looks great (see for yourself if you don’t believe me) :)

Thanks Adrian

@aaranmcguire: you can set that, if you set Synchronize Refresh to on, it will refresh approximately every 11 minutes (API results are cached for 10 min for statement, so it does not make sense to refresh more often than that) If you set it to Off, your balance will refresh every 2 minutes (again API refreshes balance every minute, but in order not to bring down the Envato API servers, I set it conservatively to 2 minutes :P) and statement refreshes every 11 minutes, but that means that you get balance number changed every 2 minutes, but you could wait for up to 9 minutes for Growl notification and the ka-ching sound, because of the statement refresh times… Hope I explained it clearly enough :D

@ConstantinPotorac I know the iPhone version sucks :) I will work on that too, but don’t have a release date yet.

Thanks for the feedback! We wanted to keep it as simple as possible and displaying total sales requires an additional API call, so we’ve dropped that.

BUT ! We have something in the works that will compensate for that and we hope you guys will love it :)
