Hello,

In a nutshell > that’s what we are trying to do > to be a very mainstream niche career site which utilizes the latest CSS and HTML5 ultra clean design feeling.

Most job sites are not designed well (even the big ones). The ones that are designed clean seem to be focused on the graphic design vertical rather than mainstream business.

Note > there is a site using the same script as ours which is live at http://www.bubble-jobs.co.uk/ ( if you need to see general dashboards > however ours will have a few more enhancements like stats counter etc etc )

As far as look and feel > what we have now is here > verticaljobportal.jobboardmount.com > Obviously, that is not going to work!

For reference> we had a quick comp done which is available upon request which is starting in the right direction, but needs allot of work. This was basically envisioned for the site squareup.com > I’ll explain a little later and reference some sites we really like.

Concept of Site:

Parent Domain – VerticalJobPortal.com will offer modular, industry specific job boards ( ie. mortgagejobs.vertcialjobportal.com ) starting with the mortgage, real estate and legal industries. Each niche board will only offer jobs / job seekers that pertain to that particular industry. The basic layout will be the same for each job board with colored elements and titles changing for each different vertical. The idea is to deploy new verticals in a modular fashion > all sticking to the master template layout. Backend is currently custom PHP and MySQL and the developers are more or less standing by for the GUI PSD ’s.

Page Designs Needed:

Main Index Page of the site > Intuitively designed so that users can easy choose / navigate to all boards. Must be easy to update as we add new boards.

Index Page, Job Seekers, Not Logged In > Would like a very clean layout with a slider, top level navigation, area for login, register now button, below the slider > featured jobs, featured employers, benefits and footer

We also need an area for site sponsors ( banner driven > limited to only 5 or 6 sponsors as we are not offering general banner advertising > trying to keep everything very clean and focused )

Search Results Page

Dashboard, Job Seekers, Logged In > this is where registered users would manage their profile > perform for job searches > apply for jobs etc etc.

Index Page, Employers, Not Logged In > Very important this is where we do our selling > Would like a very clean layout with a slider, top level navigation, area for login, register now button, below the slider > additional features, benefits and possibly pricing comparisons and testimonials.

Dashboard, Employers, Logged In > where employers search for candidates, update profiles, purchase additional services, manage their account etc etc

Standard Blank page for all other static site content

Would also need all elements and icons and photos for sliders as well.

Sites We Like:

authenticjobs.com > like fonts / typography in general and search returns > however feel main index page is lacking with no real clear explanation of what the site actually does or what niche it serves. Would benefit from a slide of some type.

squareup.com > love the main index page slider > maybe a little big for what we are trying to do > nice minimalist design though

nest.com > very clean again > maybe to big for what we are doing

Very clean look > http://themes.truethemes.net/Karma-HTML/index-jquery-1.html

http://www.behance.net/tour > very clean also – site is focused on creative talent > but what a clean design

We can also generate allot of new business for you via our huge B2B email databases if you want and we have 2 more sites that we need designed as well.

Please let me know what you think.

We are truly looking for a talented team or individual to bring our vision to screen where many others have failed or let us down in the past. We refuse to give up and are sure the right designer is out there. Our project has been stalled for 3 years due to this problem.

Thanks, VJP
