Hi, I recently purchased the kinder gentle theme, I am trying to customize it. I would like to change the default white headers and container areas to a different color, I have searched the color.css and in the stylesheet.css changed the #container background color but it doesn’t apply there must be an overriding rule that I cannot find can anyone help me with this? Thanks Bryan PapyrusJungle.com Mainstreetartsandcrafts.com/pjstore
see the grid960.css on (line 130)
you will found this snipe:
.container_12 .grid_12 {
    width: 952px;
}

and replace with this:
.container_12 .grid_12 {
    background: green;
    width: 952px;
}

:( Adobe Edge is not for WIN XP
What’s the point of using a 10 years old system?
i Agree but if you compare xp users and vista/windows 7 users You will found lots lots of user using WIN XP .
But this software is not aimed at general users, it’s for designers who most likely will have Win 7 or OSX 10 .6/10.7

Hmm agreee :)

Hi, I have been running my site for about 4 years now and was recently advised by my hosting company to move the site to a VPS due to the size of it and the memory it required. Even on the VPS it causes memory errors and regularly causes the server to crash.

My problem is that even with the error logs I do not know where to look to find what is causing the error/crashes.

Does anyone know where to look or even a service that anyone offers to resolve these tyes of issues??

Cheers

Barry

There can be several reasons.

Turn your debug on, and see error and try eliminating them. Modify Your theme as much as possible.Remove useless calls, remove and remove,Try switching to minimalistic themes Enable Cache support Use google libraries, To fasten up use CDN See How many queries your wordpress is making. Disable unnecessary Plugins, Remove useless queries.

Most of them , Many times BOTS they keep on querying your blog , So disallow them .As they consume so much of your bandwidth and ram.

I had similar issues, with couple of my sites. Firstly i made above changes and it was working like charm.

Then i had a great traffic , i didnt mind moving to a good VPS plan.

Which host are you using ?

and yes in WHM you can see what process is talking your much of RAM

A good VPS can handle Most of the wordpress blog depending upon your traffic.

Enable Debug mode and clear error onebyone Disable Plugin and check +1
