I think the amount of stuff submitted makes it pretty hard for a reviewer to give particular feedback for every design. They give you tips to fix a design but only if is almost ready.

Those background images that load slow are instant kill. First background image is a png and has 2.17MB. Huge!

The issue with non-blog wordpress themes is that people will demand the feature like crazy. They kinda expect the blog area from any theme.
