+1 Although consumerism imposed a lot by narrow minded corporations, the good reply is maintaining the habit of buying only what fits the need – instead of what sold with discount. I guess by sometime inbetween 2013 – 201300 AD, corporations will feel ‘shy’ to ask buyers to “BUY OURS ” and focus on fitness to meet needs.

Did you read my question? Bundles are different, only a few benefit from it. A massive sale on all items on Themeforest on black friday and cyber monday would be a great benefit for all authors.
I see lot’s of other WordPress theme stores offering 40% discounts or more. Is it possible that Envato gives us the opportunity to place these types of discounts ourselves or that they can do this for the entire marketplace.

You have to be joking right? Take a look back through this year and how many similar threads like these have popped up – every single instance some staff (“ambassador”) members reply and offer nothing useful to the thread; none of them tell us what’s being done. Despite this you’re still willing to post “it’s in the pipeline” (Envato phrase of the year?). Take a look at my earlier posts here, I said a staff member would reply when it reached 100 replies, and bang on cue, Carmen turns up.

Those items on that list are not difficult. The truth is Envato developers do nothing, and they have been doing nothing for the past year. Instead we’ve seen some silly little design changes. Heck, even when tuts+ got hacked, you STILL had flaws that were not fixed. You may recall I posted these in a thread in public which you guys removed. Also, you guys are still using the amember system, which you were supposed to be getting rid of, or so we were told.Heck, there is even a thread located here: http://codecanyon.net/forums/thread/issues-when-making-payments-with-paypal/71934 asking for people to write to support to buy things. You guys can’t even get your act together to process payments correctly. It’s appalling.
This is proof you (Envato) has no interest in changing anything around here; if you did it would have been done. No matter how big or small a site is, it doesn’t take 3 years to implement some small changes. You just can’t be bothered. Heck, even independent developers have made userscripts to fill in for your incompetence. Envato is arrogant; it thinks it’s better then everybody else and can ignore authors and its users.The only way things will change is if authors take their business elsewhere. I seriously hope a new competitor comes along and takes advantage of Envato’s weaknesses, because it might make them realise authors are the most important people here.

Just read through most of the comments and i believe none of you’ll have understand the Bitfade’s real concern (which is also ours)
The sales are already REALLY bad the last few weeks/months and then they trow in two bundles in a month . Instead of spending time on wrapping up a bundle package they should IMPROVE the usability of the search system on the site.
I personally don’t care if an author was in a bundle 1000 times, i only care about making money here and it’s getting very tough lately. So much new items are released so a homepage and category page rearrangement is pretty urgent matter.
And as for those people who are nagging about “you already earned 100k+”. Do you have any idea how much time is spend on selling themes here, creating them and supporting themes is a daily task.
I think they will come with a new design soon. So much outdated stuff here on themeforest. So when they want to compete with the rest they should innovate and redesign themeforest to a clean and more usable place.
Maybe instead of hiring a good interface designer they should hire a good User Experience Designer
While your at it. Is it possible to inform us if the envato developers are working on or are planning to work on a better homepage structure and search functionality.
When you look at the other big stock sites, they all have a strong focus on searching through there products. Think this should be a must since the competition is growing and more and more theme are coming in. And the attention we get on the homepage or category page with our new item is reduced from 1 week to 2 days in a few months.

So comparing the ThemeForest sales 1 week before and 1 week after the change we observed that the average sales price had gone up $3.80-ish and sales overall were up 8%. So overall I was pretty happy with the result.Interestingly before this price change I spent a packet on Google AdWords trying to determine what the optimal sale price point was just by changing ad copy. Was a complete failure as the CTR was the same regardless of what price I put in the copy. Sad really – I thought it was going to be an awesome way to test buyer demand.
Okay thanks. hoping to see the new sales track of larger time frame. But i think Sveta will do a good job of delivering this soon. So we can compare the sales over a few months period rather then a week.

Yes they did, now and then Collis announces that they had broken a monthly record sale. But i didn’t hear anything since the price increase so that’s why i wanted to know.
They don’t have to show the exact numbers, only if the numbers are better then before the price increase or worse
