not all authors use the forums so it wouldn’t really work IMO plus we discourage calling users out on the forums so we don’t get any flaming etc..

That guy MSFX, he just doesn’t know when to quit!

simply because support doesn’t do anything. I’ve reported a music file some months ago, that is stolen from a well known music-pack. I’ve reported it 2 times, send proof that it is stolen although that is not my job. I created 2 threads about this.

It is still online today. Gaining sales, gaining money.

The funny thing is, if I would post a link here, the link would be removed in few hours.

Proof?

Let’s try:

Stolen from Pro Scores by videocopilot: [let’s not]

Yea, what’s funny is I was told to remove link from my profile page or I was going to have my account terminated / banned. The minute I report someone for doing the same thing I was doing, support does nothing. I feel like they pick and choose authors who gets punished and authors like myself who voice their opinion get treated unfairly and then the censorship starts coming into play.

There is still a landing page that has false advertising in the preview images that support said they were gonna make the author change the images, but they still stand. They simply do not do what they say they are going to do, in result, I left the marketplace as an author because I was tired of staff not doing what they say they are going to do.
I can assure you there is no favouritism when it comes to this, support are just likely overworked, would be good if us mods had a bit more power IMO…

Would be good if us Authors and Buyers had a bit more power as well :D

Please remember that we have neither the staff nor the inclination to police every single author or item on the Marketplaces. As mentioned by sightsignal, authors can change their description page as much as they want so it’s not possible to monitor every little change.

That’s okay, as this is impossible to do.

However, Support will investigate and act if it is brought to their attention. Many times this means giving the author the opportunity to take down the information themselves.
This is simply wrong. As I showed you, support did nothing. In several cases. But thanks for proving my point with removing the link.

Well, it is possible to monitor every little change by the use of business rules and logic. I’m sure a programmer could find a way to create a script that would filter through the changes and throw red flags if certain words are within the description such “free”.

Of course, this is a dumbed down version of what could be created, I’m sure there is a more robust way of creating such a script that would look for more variations.

Then why have policies if you do not have the staff to police them? Lets get it together already guys.

I’ve contacted support already. Whoever reviewed the product and the author should be held accountable and be punished for blatant disregard for policy. Just like any other business, if you make a mistake that is against policy, there is punishment, usually you are written up, I’d like to see the same thing happen here. This is happening a lot, I’ve found numerous amounts of items and authors that are doing things against policy, yet nothing is happening to these individuals. Why?

Just wondering if you are allowed to offer free downloads in your item descriptions. I’ve come across an item this evening which does exactly this. I was under the impression that the reviewers look for these types of things against policy, or am I wrong and the policy has changed or do certain members have immunity to the policies?
Before it was allowed not no more had a few files reject for this. So my guess is its not allowed

I thought that was the case, just wanted to be sure before submitting another ticket to support for fishy activity. Just wondering when blatant disregards for policies are going to be put to an end. Why have rules if no one is going to police them right?

I wouldn’t say Myspace is dead… the Newscorps version of Myspace is dead.

They just re-launched with a new platform solely focused on Music, an iOS app, and a Music Streaming service. They also just had a big re-launch concert and are spending 20+ million dollars on advertising.

I think new Myspace is going to catch on. There’s no other place out there that allows artists to share their music, mixes, upcoming events, photos, and social media in one place. Facebook, Soundcloud, Twitter all do just one or two of the things I listed.
+1 exactly – myspace is coming back :D

LinkedIn is the new Myspace but for business professionals.
