Yep, got the exact same message. Looks like they’re trying to recruit authors for their site.
Thx for your feedback GrizzelFX! The animation is sure something I’m going to revise.
Oh – and by the way, by the Boing sound… it’ll only cost a $, then you don’t have multiple “Audiojungles” annoying everyone. Replace the watermark over the whole thing if you’re feeling nice and want to protect the author’s work.
Wasn’t sure that i could replace the soundeffect watermark with just one going over all of them. Probably do that!
I understand the reject as “hard reject”, there was no hard or soft infront of it but the standard answer applys a hard reject. The only thing that puzzles me is why the reviewer put my Item description in the mail.
"P.S. For your reference, here are the details from your submission."
+ my description.
Does this mean something in my description is wrong? I opened a ticket since I really want to see my template accepted.
That might be an idea! I submitted it under the category “opener/cartoon”. But can that be the only reason. Yes it is simple but there’re many simple templates. Plus the background is easy to change, just one click to switch it off and 2 or 3 clicks to change the color with a color control. Plus controls to choose between 6 of the most known Social media icons. (facebook, twitter, youtube, linkin, blog, vimeo) + a placeholder for your own Icon/media.
First I thought it just doesn’t deliver enough content, on the other hand it’s an opener/intro. Eg. for a youtube channel where naturaly some kind of footage would follow.
Yes this thread came to life due to a rejection, but I don’t want to complain. Just looking for some feedback on how to improve this template.https://vimeo.com/69954618
Please help me out! Right now I just have some rough ideas on what might have caused the rejection and how to improve them. Would love to hear your thoughts!
@LBell Thank you LBell, for your elaborate feedback. We authors appreciate these kind of feedbacks and suggestions. This helps us to adapted and enhance our templates.
A reject happend to me aswell recently. I also got the this sentence: “The design and execution of the animation does not convey a professional quality. ” And I did feel a little offended. I mean who doesn’t after, working on a piece and then just getting one sentence back telling you your work got rejected.
Things changed after I submitted a ticket requesting more information on the reason why it got rejected. Now I had detailed info on what is wrong with the template. And this gave me a chance to improve my work. In the end I agreed with him on the mistakes (at least most of them ) and was happy about the critics. It led to a better perception of envatos approval mechanics and helped me improve.
Thats why I think even a reject should come with some more information on whats wrong with the template then just the generic rejection text.
