Congrats on making a great decision in life! I respect your work even more, now that I know your story… Maybe some day we could all write our story. I would love to read more about life decisions!
I recommend Cubase 7.5 or Presonus Studio One as a DAW. Protools is good too but for me is quite complicated. If you want electronic music with a bit of rock-ish sound you should try putting Guitar Rig 5 on synths, or other guitar cabinets on synths. You will be very surprised on the sound but be careful when your mixing it! Good luck with your work!
Nice article, I understood all of it, but you should write about average RMS level because there are many differences between songs. Also about limiting your tracks, many people work the whole project under a limiter and in the and the track is maybe to fluffy. I’m just trying to help so users can have a better experience and understanding when uploading a song.
Does anyone play any pc games in the spare time? And if so, what games are you guys playing?
I felt it a few times… The moment where you leave it on repeat and just pace around the place with your hands in the air, dancing like a fool
And what about the sales? You like what you do because that’s why you are so good at it, but the real question is if the songs that you like the most brigs you sales. In my case it didn’t bring sales, only the songs that I’ve wrote especially for AJ. It’s odd that kids songs make more sales than Goosebumps songs . What kind of music do AJ clients need? I’m still waiting for my goosebumps song to be approved so that you guys can hear what I’m talking about.
Never with my own, because I never think my music is good enough. But I have on a lot of incredible music before. Most recently on one of ^ Erick’s songs http://audiojungle.net/item/emotional-adventure-trailer/9119287 to me it’s a Masterpiece!
Interesting thoughts and point of view! I’ve listened to Erick’s song and it’s a masterpiece indeed! Gae47 You are right! Every track is so unique that you just can’t remake it or emulate it and if you do so (In rare cases) it does not have the same feeling. Thank you all for your replies!
I guess what contributes to goose bumps is the fact that the track is made by us. It’s a strange feeling also and it’s not the same as listening to Sade or Celine Dion. Thank you for your reply
It may be a stupid question but I’ll fire it away: Did someone experienced goose bumps after composing a song and listened to it over and over again? This is the first time I experience such a thing and it’s quite a nice feeling. Let me know your answers, I really want to know if there is someone that had experience such a thing and if that song brought sales for them.
