Thank you guys for the quick response.

This is my current problem. I am using the following on my page.

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC ”-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1 .0 Transitional//EN” “http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd”>

I am also using the cycle plug-in which requires the code to be like the following, if you want navigation buttons for the slider.

$(’.slider’) .after(‘div class=”slider-nav”> /div>‘) <- I do have the div’s closed properly, but the post didn’t display them correctly

.cycle({ fx: ‘scrollLeft’, sync: 0, pause: 1, speed:400, timeout:10000, pager:’.slider-nav’ });

I think my error is coming from the whole .after line. The error I get is, “document type does not allow element “div” here”

Any hint on what I could do to fix this issue?

I was wondering what methods authors used to validate their html.

I downloaded the plug-in HTML Validate for firefox. When I check my page, I get the green check mark on the bottom right corner of my browser. I did notice though there are two types of validation on it. There is Tidy (the one mine shows) and also SGML .

Is this a good way to validate, or what is the proper way so I can submit a wordpress theme?

I am currently working on a theme that I am going to submit within the next couple of days. On the home page, I use a picture of myself and one of my friends (shows an example on how to display your content).

Do I need to get a model release form from my friend? If I do, would I print it out and have him sign it then scan it and upload it? (Or how would I go about doing this)

When adding a contact form to your theme, do you have to do it manually through html etc. (assuming that it gets accepted to sell)? The theme I currently finished (my first one) uses the wordpress contact form 7. I changed some of the styles to the contact form so it matches with my theme.

Is this theme able to be submitted explaining in the details that a wordpress plug-in (contact form 7) was used and how to add it so it works with the theme?

I was browsing the forums to learn as much information as I could on how the site works etc. I came across someones post saying that their theme had been rejected. One of the reasons he mentioned was because he included the jQuery plug-in along with his theme.

Can someone confirm if this is true or not? If your theme requires jQuery plug-ins to complete and display your work appropriately, are they allowed to be included with your theme zip for submission?

Thank you.

As of now I have actually started tweaking and figuring out how to accommodate for IE6 . I would still appreciate some feedback on the theme to see what more experienced web designers suggest or think about it. I’m also still curious to see if people believe this is a theme that could be submitted to sell.

Thank you.

Hello everyone. I am in the later stages of trying to upload a theme to this website. First off, I would appreciate any feedback. If it looks clean or not and also if it looks like a theme that would be accepted to sell.

Secondly, I would REALLY appreciate any tips on how to get it to work on IE6 . I have tested it on all browsers and it seems to work just how I expected it. As soon as I try it on IE6 , EVERYTHING goes wrong. If anyone is familiar or has had similar problems, I would be so thankful if you could help me out.

This is the link to the theme I am referring to: http://dev.joshellington.com/anon/wp/

Thanks to everyone in advance.
