The most important info is
Since for EU VAT purposes the VAT collected is in Envato’s name, when we remit this to the authorities, it’s done so under an Envato registration, not in the author’s name.
So it should be business as usually as I see it.
I agree, just wanted to state that big events also influence our items.
Maybe, tough from saturday to sunday we already had the VAT system and still got tremendous amount of sales, then 2 hours before superbowl it just stoped :/
I can’t see any were my clients from so i can add tax? And the job is done but my income is not seen will it be after i generate an invoice?
Sadly I was talking just for VAT purposes, but just drop him a mail. Cannot post directly here on forums and he actually explained why and I agree with him. And yea would actually give him 5 stars if I could
When I get some more info to calm you guys additionally I will. And as I sad do drop him a mail don’t be scared he is a super cool guy and its 11 PM in australia and he chatted with me.
Guys I just spent some time chatting on Skype with Collis… what an awesome guy I was positively shocked and surprised when I got the call (in a good way ).
He explained some stuff to me, and all have to tell you… why not commission system… well trust me we do not want it!
About VAT, it is not a biggy, the statement that Envato is taking care of it (he basically answered all my questions) is quite enough now for me, calmed me down totally.
If you want more answers do send him a mail, he is a super friendly guy, was a blast skyping with him!
And if you check my previous comments I was quite a pain in the behind on forums
Thank you Collis very much, i am open to a skype chat any time
Collis you still do not listen to us, it is not just about who is collecting VAT, its about the whole procedure, join accounts, vat reporting and how us authors will have to manage this, expenses for us with the new system, you reporting vat to each country that has to match with our transactions, how to deduct expenses since we do not see it in our bank transactions (our tax offices do not recognise any other statements except our bank transactions ) etc.
So there are so many aspects that our causing big issues. I can tell you now that if i have to start issuing invoices for my government for each client directly, because of accountant workload it will bring my expenses so high that my business is going to be highly unstable and frankly will have to think if I can continue with it and 3 of us are living from it.
Any one else experiencing drop of sales from in last 15 hours or so? Was thinking that super bowl has something to do with it, since us customers are our best buyers.
