Well there are other issues, once you charge somebody a subscription you have certain obligation by contract, its not that easy if you do it properly
Why do you need Envato to implement this for you? We have been offering premium (paid) support for months, no need for Envato to be involved here…
Because i do not know there intentions, if they decide to implement it they could forbid us selling our own service in this manor, so if this is something that is coming in near future i would rather wait for there decision.
Yes and if envato abandoned this plan we would start to offer it on our own
Just wanted to ask about it a bit since from those burning debates it all went quite.
Well May went to hell to be honest… last two weeks last month started to pick-up and now this week again it all went down hill.
Interesting stat that from when we started sales were quite stable and you could have predicted income quite well then from last year it all went downhill. Noticed one thing that being among the first in a certain niche is not really a way to go. Wait a bit then copy the hell out of it and of course improve it watch trends do some research and you are set to go.
I was the one that believed into multipurpose themes then went to niche now days i see that i guess multipurpose are the only one’s manageable, if you hit top list with one of them you are there in most cases to stay.
Lets be honest competition is big so you have to slave quite hard to get somewhere and to be honest not all will. I think market is getting over saturated, for clients its great, a lot of choice but for us its becoming a nightmare, you get items having from high sales to low sales and those that are high sooner or later go down but you have to support all of them but sales do not grow as you have a lot of items those days are over.
So guys an advice if you do not have payable premium support do not go to quantity. In the end it will grow over your head.
That’s just my 50cents.
Hello, i really doubt envato will give you your money back, authors have the right to remove the item from sales and stop supporting it. An example Microsoft stopped supporting and updating Win XP and they will not give you your money back wont they?
Agreed, I am not against expanding on a niche. But this is a normal thing there are only such a number of different kind of construction theme designs that will pass with buyers once 2 or 3 different hit, everything else is relatively more or less the same, maybe enhanced and fine tuned.
To be honest, since we are among those first 3 of construction themes, it blew me away how construction themes are selling even those that are not in most popular any more. There are some unique ones but some are just well hmm…
To get back to the point all i was saying is that coding the way wordpress was intended to be it’s just not possible with everything that comes with these themes.
