it looks nice for me, original and rather attractive , i don’t know what is the point, sorry i cannot really help on that one, i guess that adding small details like some shadows under the speakers would make your item look a bit more “realistic” but i dare say that i am not sure that it would transform a hard rejection into an approval lol … sorry , i don’t know what else i could say to help you …

Hey buddy, No worries, thank you for your help. Since that i had a hard rejection again so i opened a ticket to find an answer but without luck :-/
They told me that the quality team can’t give any additional information about hard rejected items. So that’s it :-(

Hi. As for me your flyers are pretty nice and should be approved. I can say thay last time i uploded 4 items and 2 of them were hard rejected and 2 soft rejected. Maybe Envato wants to increase the level of quality of uploaded works so reviewers are more exacting in their decisions. Sometimes theis comments have sense but sometimes i do not understand what`s happening :) and what is wrong with item. Good luck and many sales to you=))
yes maybe buddy, they just forget that to sell , most of us have to gain visibility from having our newly approved items featured in the front page … and if they reject all , we don’t have this, and simply sell nothing … or really so very small volume that we are starving even more … they also forget that to make a decent money, u have to sell tons of items with so very low prices in the first place, divided at least by two (with their commission ), plus all the different charges and possible purchase stat guys do , and so on … in addition, raising the quality standard does make no sense at all at this time, they keep on accepting poor or flat things and keep on refusing some good items sometimes … . they also forget that not all of us have alternative places to sell, but maybe they want to push us to go to sell somewhere else … because at this time, for me for instance, any rejection that i got , this is synonymous with loss of time and some lost works too and i don’t believe that this is showing much respect to say the least, that’s why, many guys also cannot accept the idea that u have no clue of what to do to fit when u get hard rejected …

Well… i couldn’t agree more.

hi buddy, i think that “burning down the house” is really cool and original , the other one, honestly i like a bit less, that has to be due to the way laments are organized but this is still acceptable and nice i think at leafs most than some works that we can see accepted here sometimes …

Thank you! :-) To be honest that was the reason i started this thread.

i think that on your pink flyer u are using copyrighted bottles, used the same with silver color and they hard made me change all … for this reason …

I was thinking about that to. This is why i removed the labels from the bottles. Maybe just the preview image is to small to see that.

what we see is that sales are slowing down and that the not so big money turns a bit lower again in any case, as for running the mills, in some way i understand, now have people been thinking what’s going to happen if they get too many rejections ?! lol because even by creating good things , rejections don’t happen only to others …

+1

Thank you all for the comments. They were very helpful and i made those changes, but to be honest i don’t think that a reviewer would hard reject something because the shading is a bit off etc. In my experience what they only care about is the typography. So i’m still looking for answers, but as i see what is left, is to try these flyers with a different typo.

For the first flyer, the idea it’s nice but : if you make the reflection, make it for the “Birthday” text as well. That reflects too. What do you mean Ladies free all night? You offer a free lady for guys ?:)) Be more accurate. Is that a fence? Is the text editable ? Work a little bit more on the shading because it’s off For the second flyer. Great idea. I would work a little bit on the main text, make it more realistic, more atractive. And i would remove those splashes, looks like paint. Shading is off too, give it a down perspective instead. Again, free ladies ?:))

Hey Ycz,

Thank you! I see your point. I will work on those!
To answer your questions: Yes, that is a fence. The text is editable. An this ladies free thing? :-D By that i mean that ladies can enter for free, without buying a ticket. I really hope that wasn’t the reason why it was hard rejected :-D

Hey iork,
Thank you very much! Many sales to you to! :-)
If that would be the case (raising quality standards) i wouldn’t say a word, because i know lot of authors waiting for that to happen and i also would feel challenged by that. But if you check out the recently approved items on the front page, it clearly shows that even very very poor quality flyers can be approved. Well, anyway i’m not here to judge, it’s not my business…, i’m just playing by the rules

So any further comments and suggestions on my flyers are welcome. Than you!

Hey guys!
I’m not often doing this, but i’m kinda lost, because i don’t know what i’m doing wrong here. In the last month i uploaded 5 flyers and there was no problem with them. They got accepted in the first round. But nowdays? Everything i upload is hard rejected immediately. I’d like to show you 2 examples:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dst5stondngwpjl/PAWBPFT%20Flyer%20image%20preview.jpg?raw=1

Fonts used: Playball and Open Sans

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bdk983tamxuvvfh/BDDHFT%20Flyer%20image%20preview.jpg?raw=1

Fonts used: Bangers, Black Ops One and Open sans

I really checked everything i possibly could. Text is aligned, centered etc. Or was there a change in the submission guidelines i didn’t noticed?
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you in advance.

Hey guys :-)

Typography was also a nightmare for me too. I can’t even count how many rejections i had in the past because of that! I hate to admit but it turned out that the reviewer was right! :-D:-D:-D I had enough, so a month ago i spent days trying to understand and learn what makes a good typography!

So here are my tips:

Google fonts:
If you hover over the typeface (yes, there is a difference between a font and typeface! :-D) you will see an icon named “pop out”. Click on that and choose the third tab (Pairings). Voilá! :-D Now you have more than 600 typefaces and you have at least 5 suggestions for pairing. In 99.9 % of the time it does the trick.
Lynda
I found this 3 video tutorials from Ina Saltz on lynda.com and it really changed my whole life! It’s not that long, ca. 4 hours but it’s worth every minute! It’s amazing how she explains everything!
And keep in mind, that guides and grids are your best friends when it comes to alignment!

I’m not saying that i became a professional after this but it really helped me a LOT!

Hey guys,

Just found this list. Of course it’s just a joke, but what do you think?

:-D

50 reasons not to date a graphic designer

1. They are very weird people. 2. There are billions of them in the world, like colors on the screen of your computer. 3. They will analyse conversations in layers. 4. You will spend the day assembling furniture from IKEA. 5. They drink and eat all kinds of weird shit just because they like the packaging. 6. They hate each other. 7. You’ll come out the last out of the movies because you have to see the full list of credits. 8. They cant change a light bulb or without making a sketch. 9. They fuck up all the tables with their cutters. 10. They rather study the paisley pattern on your outfit than listen to what you have to say. 11. They will fill your house with magazines and whatever is out there that has drawings. 12. You never know if it is really an original or a copy. 13. They make collages with your photos. 14. They do not know how to add and subtract, they just understand letters. 15. They idolize people who nobody knows and speak of them as if they were his colleagues. 16. They take pictures almost daily and all are cut in weird shapes. 17. They ask your opinion about everything but they do whatever they want. 18. Everything is left justified, right or center unless they arrive late. 19. They hate Comic Sans with the same passion they love Helvetica. 20. They use iPhone for everything, because everyone has one. 21. You can not decorate the house without consulting them. 22. They steal street signs. 23. Always carry their hands painted with something. 24. They buy dolls unfinished for them to paint. 25. Everything becomes something other than what it really is: cards as tickets, cards as … 26. When arguing, you will be nicknamed like the OSX spinning wheel (not affectionately) 27. Do not know how to dress without consulting the Pantone book. 28. They hate Excel. 29. They read comics. 30. They want to save the world only with a poster. 31. You will spend the day brainstorming. 32. On vacation they will take you to countries that you do not know exist and have no beach. 33. Museums are their second home. 34. They know more positions than the Kamasutra. 35. They can’t go to a restaurant without secretly critiquing the menu design. 36. They listen to music you have never heard of. 37. They can´t cook a normal dish, they always have to experiment with new ingredients. 38. They read rare books: stories of children, Semiotics … 39. When you are going to tell you something, everyone has read it in their facebook and twitter. 40. They have own iPods before you knew they existed. 41. The orgasm they remember is when they heard that Adobe was acquiring Macromedia. 42. They have their own shops just for them and there are the most expensive in the city. 43. They want to spend all the money in the Apple Store. 44. You will never understand their gifts. 45. They see ordinary objects and laugh. 46. You wake up in the middle of the night hearim them screaming “When is the deadline?” 47. They see CMYK and RGB like Neo sees the Matrix. 48. They dream of the day nobody will make a single change to their designs. 49. They rather pay for a font than for a special birthday gift. 50. They are always sleepy because they work 24/7.
