Just realized I’m in a wedding that day. AHHHH what are the odds of that?! Oh well. I will pray for another one close to home! Grand Rapids Michigan anyone?
You should come out to WordCamp Grand Rapids if you aren’t already, there’s a few Envato authors who attend including us.
Do you mean Conversion?
Both of us will be there! Adam & Spencer, we’ve already booked our flights. Can’t wait for the Deep Dish Pizza!
Woah! hope our “Learnify” theme will be ready in time
There are a multitude of reasons to not include plugins with a theme.
1. It is in violation of the ThemeForest submission guidelines to bundle plugins within themes that are a premium product. Look at what happened to the author “Sara_p” ThemeForest removed one of their themes from the marketplace because of this issue: http://themeforest.net/user/Sara_p/portfolio the theme is back but they had to remove all bundled plugins in their themes, read more here: http://coenjacobs.me/dont-buy-bundled-premium-plugins/
2. It adds extra complexity to people’s sites who may not need the functionality.
3. It makes code hard to maintain and quickly update.
When did themes become a bundle of plugins, images, fonts, etc? Why do a lot of ThemeForest authors just do it for money and not because they want to help the buyer and the WordPress community?
We love Easy Digital Downloads! you can do a lot with the plugin and I would argue that you can build better themes with EDD. Just because something is popular doesn’t make it superior.
I think this year you will see a lot more Easy Digital Downloads themes that look just as great as WooCommerce themes.
We have a Google+ brand page, would you recommend we use the brand name or one of the founders of the company their Google+ accounts?
What would convert into more clicks? a persons face or a brands logo I guess the question is.
