I think the tab category refers to the popular files page under the files menu on the left side which shows the number of sales in a week. so i guess you had another 2 sales in the weeks before.

thanks stefan, great tips!:) is there a way to re-upload or replace files which i already have in my portfolio to include a textfile in the zip without using the usual upload process?

hi everybody,

actually this is a great idea, however a few thoughts on that. if i put a source file online and a potential buyer totally fells in love with that music and is willing to pay the higher price to play around with the single tracks – but he doesn´t have logic as he swears on reason (for whatever reason:)) – bummer! let´s assume that in another case i used some vst plugins for the lead synth or to give the bass sound a little distortion and the buyer does not have these, again this might keep people from purchasing the file. what do you think about providing source files containing all the single rendered tracks the music is made of? so it wouldn´t matter if somebody uses logic, cubase or whatever. you could just import the files in your prefered DAW and start to play around with. i know it´s not the same, but might be sufficient for some people. just an idea;)

hey guys!

sorry that i bring this one up again, but just a few thoughts on the rating system. as a newbie on AJ i just got my first ratings. the first buyer (who rated one of the tracks) gave me 5 stars. after the next sale i found my average rating down to 4, so i guess this buyer gave me 3 stars (right so far?). i´m not complaining about that, but after thinking a while about that rating system i found it quite strange that somebody would rate a file he bought on AJ with 3 stars or even only 1! i see the point regarding flash files as vaisnava explained earlier in this thread, but music? why would anybody buy an audio track/loop which he was able to prelisten and rate it with only – let´s say – 2 stars? there are about 4000 tracks on AJ and i found so much good and inspiring music on here. if i had to purchase a track for any project, i sure would buy one which i best would rate with 10 stars. and any technical issue should not affect the rating as i am sure any composer/author as well as the great AJ team is willing to help the client.

by the way: thanks AJ for featuring one of my files:)
