My Payoneer card got hacked in mid 2014, just under 4 hours after I got my Envato payout. The ATM withdrawals were minutes apart and originated from Russia then Mexico. ( I wonder which airlines travels that fast :)

I have cards issued by local banks that work internationally which I use frequently but it was only the Payoneer card that got hacked… Even though I only use that card for emergencies (once a month or less).

3 months after filing a dispute, I’m now been offered a $280 “good will” gesture out of almost $600 taken. $600 is a lot of money where I live.

I’m disappointed. Now I have to rely on bank transfer which means Envato payouts are now further apart and fees are higher…

@johnnychaos & @DJMiMi Thanks for the feedback. I’ll try out softer color variants and and maybe remove a few unnecessary colors.

Oh and @johnnychaos, I won’t want to meet your avatar in some dark alley

Hi Guys,

My item got rejected the first time with the message below:

The overall quality of your submission does not meet our aesthetic and technical requirements and will need to be improved before being resubmitted. Unfortunately we’re not able to provide more specific feedback for your submission at this time.

I went back over the design and envato submission guidelines and updated the item (using strict mode in Javascript, more code comments and making the template use 1 predominant color). Now the 2nd rejection is as follows:

Your item does not provide the necessary design quality for this category. As higher quality items become available in the marketplace, approval requirements will increase to maintain appropriate marketplace quality.
While I’d be able to provide feedback as to how to get this approved, I can only do after it has crossed a certain threshold, quality wise. I’m sorry to say this isn’t there yet.

Here’s the demo of the 1st submission: Design 1

Here’s demo for the 2nd submission: Design 2

I’d appreciate any feedback I can get on the design. I spent months working on the template and the design style and I don’t mind if your feedback is harsh…

It’s a HTML Admin template. View category

Looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks

Hi,

Just got my item rejected with the email at the bottom of this post. My item is the HTML Admin Dashboard version of my OpenCart Admin Theme on CodeCanyon.

I’ve decided to step away from the design for a bit and come back later with a set of fresh eyes. Can you take a look and let me know what you believe needs improvement or changes.

Link: Demo

Thanks

I want to create a feature into my item that requires the user to connect to my server and provide their purchase code before allowing installation to be completed. Providing the correct info will copy over crucial files or data to his site that will allow my item work on his site. Is this allowed?

My reason for this is that my sales have sharply reduced last week due to w*rez downloads… down from an average of 13 per week to 3 last week.

So, is this allowed?

UPDATE:

I saw this link and people seem to like the idea but it does bring up an issue like:

purethemes said Many buyers have problems with the simplest things in WordPress, even finding Purchase code to verify support request is sometimes a problem, so good luck with that. It will just irritate most of buyers, and confuse the rest resulting in many 1 star ratings.

Hi,

I’ve recently started asking customers that request support through email to provide their purchase code. This is because the number of illegal downloaders of my item has increased and they are asking for support (pure madness).

The down side to requesting purchase codes is that customers usually take up to 4 days to respond to the ticket request which throws my support schedule out-of-whack. Is there a better way of doing this? I use OsTicket which is perfect for my needs and don’t want to have to change systems.

How do you guys handle requesting for purchase codes? And how do you handle it if you have multiple items?

Thanks
