When I got up this morning there were no sales on my account…now that I’m back from work – there is still not a single sale!
I usually make quiet a few everyday
Is anyone experiencing the same? Is it because of the new “Buy Now” feature? Did I miss a super important holiday somewhere?
Oh boy… Let me make this clear. Some of you suggest to have the 1 day promotion on homepage with exactly 30 thumbnails right? I just counted there are 66 items approved yesterday. (28 Nov 2009). Now let’s take a calculator. 66 * 365 is 24090 and that is an approx number of items approved per year. I dont need exact numbers to make a point here. 30 items futured for 1 day right? That’s 30 items per day and that’s 10950 items per year. Now, 24090-10950=13140. Thats’ 13140 items waiting in the queue one year later after you would do this right? Now 13140/30=438. Oh boy! 438 days! That’s the estimate of how long would it take to approve an item. So if you would send on 1 January 2011 an item for approval, it would be approved somewhere in March 2012… You should do some numbers before making an opinion on something. You think the bigger number of thumbnails make it better? Nope! Or waiting those 438 days for homepage feature while the item could be approved and placed in its category in the meantime? Nope… Look at istockph**o, they dont even have thumnails on the homepage and nobody is complaining… P.S. Could I get some badge with calculator on it?
he’s got a point there
it has to be reviewed before it comes up anywhere on the site – read the wiki (and the test you had to take before uploading for more information, or….seacrh the forum)
maybe the reviewer just missed it – can happen if you have so many files to review each day
don’t take it personal, resubmit and leave a note for the reviewer
There are also several posts about this topic on the blog. Just look for author interviews for example-one question is always concerning the process of creating files for the river…
This item forced me to buy even I don’t have any use of it but I love to have it.
haha – same here
I don’t have a specific category of files I prefer to buy…
I had a file rejected by a reviever a couple of weeks ago – I contacted him and he was very helpful with giving me reason for the rejection. As it has been said before: There are a ton of file to review and they can give comments on every iten.
They keep the cash because it would be time consuming and costly to pay out the money everytime someone asks for it. There would be days no one asks for money and other days when hundreds ask for their payout- but nevertheless they had to keep one person in hold to process any possible payouts requests…it’s normal to get payed by the 15th of the following month…
