Sorry you have to try and upgrade your WordPress every year? That’s because you want to change the way it looks. If it works fine now it should work well down the line.
If I charge someone 10k for a new website a year or two down the line they’ll probably want some things different I’m still going to charge them.
So I spend a month making a template that sells for $40 and only you buy it but I have to give you support for 3 years so I get $0.27 a day from you.

Tried it, only creates a blank page due to blacklist
Just spoke to my hosting provider. Apparently twitter has blacklisted them, so not sure what to do now
Anyone got a twitter feed they use? I’ve tried “installing” quite a few and none seem to work, not sure if it’d be my PHP version, jquery versioning issues or what.
I get no errors and a completely blank screen, I’ve tried debugging and such. Any ideas?

I’ve flagged your comment due to calling at the theme and thus the author.
If what you say is true then you could always ask for a refund, but try and use that as your last resort!
I’ll say again, that support is no required and depends completely on the author. However I don’t agree with authors that use it as a selling point and don’t give support.
The theme itself might have be soft disabled due to the bugs (It will only be reaccepted if he/she fixes them)
You might want to contact support / the author to see what’s happening with the theme
Well I imagine if you’ve ever told an author their $10,000 theme that they’re selling for $40 isn’t worth that amount after going through a rigorous testing and quality checking process they’d be pretty annoyed.
Support isn’t required and if an author chooses to give away their time for free it’s up to them completely.
If you chance the theme requirements eg if it says it works on WP3.1 and you update to WP3.2 it might push a few things out (Admittedly it shouldn’t) but that’d be on your shoulders as they clearly state it works for 3.1
If you feel like the theme has bugs try and be respectful to the author (however had it might be) and send them a message or add a ticket / thread on their support system. If nothing comes from it you can always ask for a refund from support
