We have the same doubt, our theme that we worked on for more than 7 months is ready for release just this week and we think to wait until jan first
Officially we completed just now this feature and It’s on the final testing.
We expect to release our first theme with this feature next week.
Wish us good luck
Very nice work, I like it.
I made a similar plugin to help users to deal with columns without shortcodes.
Maybe someone will find it useful, it’s called a “Advanced WP Columns”.It’s available here http://www.wpcolumns.com
Awesome job; relly great effort.
Soon we will never let The bloggers use any hard codes never again.
We didn’t support columns for the typography, If anyone wants something similar We will definitely recommend your plugin.
I think if you make your plugin so that it would be easily extendable then that would make it a great plugin. Some might have trouble creating the entire interface yet adding to the existing could be a piece of cake them especially if you gave code examples on how to add the most sought after things like sliders or jquery powered forms where you could push a button and get a new text field to enter data.
We just focused on the content management elements not on the interface builder.
For interfaces there is a page builder can do that easily.
And the user won’t need to code examples, If he wants to edit the shortcode like the old fashioned way he can turn off the editable shortcode from the theme option.
Thank you so much
it looks great,
All the best for your first themeBlack horse? but logo horse is full of other colors
He got a face painting; And it did not come off
Looking forward for the release!
+1. Great work! Hope you will allow theme authors to use it upon purchasing extended license.
And btw, good luck with your forthcoming themes!
We’re going to release it as a plugin soon after the theme and we are going to allow to be purchased as extended license.
Just our thinking now about what shortcodes ThemeForest authors need
The video has been updated.
Now Better quality video and contains a newly added features such as visual editor and shortcodes inside another shortcode.
And we merged the tab and accordion shortcodes to just one shortcode for faster and better experience for the authors.
Looking forward for your feedbacks.
And we are going to release our first theme soon, wish us luck.
I had the same idea some time ago, but messing with TinyMCE is the worst thing in WordPress, I wasn’t able to accomplish it, but it looks great. Will it support columns and resizing the shortcode area?
TinyMCE was not a picnic for us, we faced a lot of problems and we had to figure out our self.
Our focus was entirely on the content management elements and not on the layout building elements.
Columns and resizing will be a part of page builder, we are working on it in the near future.
It’s good idea, I thought about it a while ago. I think it’s great if your users will add few shortcodes to content but if you are planning to build the layout you will need to find a way to represent a grid.
Yes I agree, that was our idea about this shortcode management, just for content elements only.
Cool ! Just like everyone else here, thought about this too, but as purethemes said, avoid messing with tinyMCE as much as possible Looking forward for the release!
Thank you, releasing Next Week .
Since the shortcodes / generator demonstrated in the video are probably already a separate plugin due to the (not so) new TF theme guidelines, do you have plans to offer it stand-alone as a CodeCanyon item as well?I would be very interested in purchasing it as a CC plugin rather than as an inextricable part of a theme I may not care entirely for. Those that purchase your new theme could just get the CC item bundled as (free) bonus then. Why limit your audience (for such a potentially use item)?
I’m really appreciate your opinion.
We thought about that before, but the problem to release it now as a CC plugin is we don’t have enough shortcode to fits any blog in general.
The main 4 shortcode we have now are unique features of our theme, and the rest is usual shortcodes.
I think the near future we will work on a decent shortcode and we will release it in CodeCanyon.
Nice idea but I think 70% too much and envato wouldn’t approve this
