@n2n44 I have to say that i don’t read every forum thread in the forum, but have noticed the users that are very helpful apart from the others. And you have got my eye, that’s why i voted you (i don’t know if they had narrowed down the voting to their authors or if it was free to vote anyone). I really appreciate what you do, you are undoubtedly helping other authors (me included).

Now i understand what you were talking, i know these kind of people, and they make me frustrated. You should not pay them attention, it gives you only negative energy. Just hope they are not your clients in the future.

At the beggining of the GraphicRiver’s logo category, i was really inexperienced and designed complex stuff and i got rejected a lot at that time for having too much in my logo and complexity was not good. Now after few years i get rejected for being too simple, i will try again after complicating it some more. However it’s to be noted that you see logos getting accepted that are a mess or don’t hold any idea behind them or being too simple as well. It’s way too confusing for me. However i’ll try harder and not pay attention to this stuff because it only brings negativity to your mind.

Thank you for your replies, they have been very very helpful! :))

@n2n44 I always notice you on the forum, and like what you do. I voted you as my favorite forum member at the voting held by Scott. I really like your motivation and the way you see things. However, i don’t think graphic design is considered easy by others. And, yeah, since i have worked in crowdsource websites, i know the pain of the client changes, but never had my work reduced to comic sans, luckily!!

I did resubmit this design, in a new preview, removed the little things on the clock since i thought that they might cause problem when the logo is in small size, changed the color of clock to dark grey (near black). Still got rejected and since i asked for the reason they said: “clever idea, but too simple”. I have always though that “less is more” and that “clever and simple belong together”. ...

@n2n44 thanks a lot man! Your words are very meaningful and makes total sense in every way. I really appreciate you taking your time to write such long for my post. I already use other marketplaces for rejected logos, but graphicriver seems to be the best place. Once again thank you for your opinion which has inspired me! :D

@blerc thank you for your opinion. @tmcom i don’t think the color affects rejection at all as, long as the logo works in black and white (unless i’ve used some really terrible colors).

Hmmm, l think that it might, if it is hard to see or read?

Most company logos out there are sharp and easy to see, so if it is on a billboard with a strong shadow from a neighboring building cutting it in half, you don’t want something that is hidden by the shadow?

8-)

I think the buyers always changes the logo colors, i usually use what colors i like knowing that. However you are right!

Guys thank you for your reply! This series of hard rejection has made me really down and unmotivated to work more. I don’t think my quality is that bad as to not be accepted, but now i’m having doubts and it’s really affecting my work time/quality. @NerdesigN i have other logos accepted and the technicality isn’t a problem, the rejection is based on the logo quality itself i think! Thanks for the reply! :)

@munkhbayar_88 I have to say that attaching links to other works on forum is against the rules. However i have to agree, as i have no idea why the links you posted got approved.

As for your logos i have to say that they lack alignment and do have to create a good altogether feel (logo + text). I like the symbols used such as the diamond, home tech and windmill, they have potential to be approved, but they need better text in my opinion.

I should say that i am no expert and that i’ve been getting some rejections too lately.

I have got another rejection on logo category. It’s been some in row right now. The last one was totally unexpected. Please take a look and give me some ideas on to why i’ve been rejected once again. Image here.

I think this is a must, unless envato changes the way to select the free file of the month: http://graphicriver.net/forums/thread/free-file-of-the-month-nominations/86736
