Thanks Stephan, only prettyPhoto code run with WooCommerce. But in this case is WooCommerce to update the plugin right? The themes not installed by default woocommerce, but the user need download and install WooCommerce Plugin.

Where is the prettyPhoto code coming from? Is it coming from WooCommerce itself? Then they need to update it (and WooThemes have already updated all their themes so presumably know about fixing it for WooCommerce).

If it’s coming from Visual Composer, then best to update to use the latest version of that to make sure.

If you got the email from us, that means we did detect the prettyPhoto library in your zip file somewhere (presumably in Visual Composer).

Probabily, at this point I remove completely the prettyPhoto js from Visual Composer and resend the update.

Thanks for your time.

Hey Bluxart,

If the prettyPhoto code never runs on the site, then it probably should be fine (I don’t believe it can exploited by directly accessing the file as in the case of some other vulnerabilities).

However, we’d still recommend updating your item to use the latest version of Visual Composer as soon as possible.

Cheers, Stephen

Hi All,

Just updated the original post to say this:

Note: ThemeForest authors, if you include Visual Composer in your items, please be aware that this was using an insecure version of prettyPhoto. It has now been updated to use the secure version. Please update your items to use version 4.5.3 of Visual Composer.
WPBakery – thanks for updating so quickly! :)

Hi I receveid the email with some theme to update. But my themes don’t load or use the in the back-end and front-end the prettyPhoto plugin but use a FancyBox js script.

I use Visual Composer but I removed the css and js original of the plugin and load mine scripts.

some thoughts?

Sorry but I still don’t get where it says that I earn $40.60 because this is the amount I should pay taxes for not $46.40 :O

Envato hides 30% commission, doing so makes you be direct seller.

Now imagine paying VAT. Becoming direct seller makes every Envato author VAT responsible. There’s no money flow in your bank account to prove that you paid VAT…

There is NO WAY you will be responsible for handling the VAT, not IN THIS moment, not in this market setup. No matter how much Envato spins it, VAT is their responsibility, not their helping hand to authors, according to EU laws. In order for you to be direct seller thus responsible for VAT you’d have to be able to fully regulate your product. That means, get buyer info in full, skip “reviews”, determine prices and so on. And VAT laws in EU clearly state that it’s not just about what a “document” (read it as Envato’s TOS) says. It’s a matter of the actual, real flow of the process. And if it’s debatable by documents, the process is analysed and reviewed. And THIS process will never pass of as clearly putting you as the direct seller responsible and exerting full power of decision on your items.

Also, Envato would have to act as a payment processing company, which we all know it is not.

Envato is the direct seller. Stop!

Hi guys, I have a problem.

Yesterday I found a theme in another marketplace that is identical to mine, and it’s the same code, function js, bugs, page builder and other things.

I believe they have purchased the theme here, they changed the logo, the names of the functions of the pattern js and then they sent him out into the marketplace.

My original Theme: [link removed]

Copied Theme: [‘link removed]

What should I do to you?

I contacted the support of the marketplace to remove the theme, I must also contact Envato support you can give me support/advice in this matter?

Thanks
