It should be:

Still doesn’t work. My code works only when I add the width attribute to the element. Is there anyway (with jguery) to automatically add the width attribute to the element?

That depends on whether or not you selected the ‘All earnings available at 31 May 2010 23:59:59’ option. If so, then yes, it will include the money earned after 12 May as well.
