Is it possible to make of find a theme like the NY times has?

yes..I did search WP, came kinda close but not nearly the amount of floating widgets the times seems to have…in this a different platform altogether?

I’ll take a shot at it…almost sounds like you are not even at the WP sign in page.

Put your site name in your browser followed by /wp-admin

this will bring you to the proper place.

if you were already in there and for some reason tried changing the URL of the site…then ya got probs.

Yes I do apoligize for putting everyone new in the same basket, as long as the person is communicating with others and I really want the item, Im buying it anyhow.

I’m still not mad at the guy or discouraged from buying on here, he’ll get the hang of it eventually. I’ll just have to wait for his updates to come or better instructions..:)

Ive tried everything to get the thing configured, no issues with slider, blog, porfolio,...just messed up main menu..and missing color options. The color options that are in right now for text, hover, heading, etc…take NO effect when changed and saved. I dont code, But I am currently reading up on CSS to see if I can make the corrections myself…its very much worth saving.

Yeah I do that too but this guy was just starting out, no background at all. I got excited over the theme. Perhaps I shouldnt have said “long term” so loosely, Just someone with a little time on here and maybe some great comments, etc. Thats really enough to make a decision.

A lot of themes coming out lately have the main menu on the left, which I kinda like myself. I would be tempted to try that as well, it looks very nice in the grey color you have under options. I also like the way you highlighted things. This is all buyers perspective tho…Im sure these guys can help you tweak it, unless of course they feel threatened by its beauty and figure its going to take the joint over LOL .. good luck buddy, I’ll be watching for its debut

Overall it is appealing tho…I think I would buy it with a few changes. Perhaps something interesting in the footer as they all look the same these days. Just for the record, Ive installed 18 WP themes so far, so NOT a total newb at this.

I also do not expect everything layed out for me when I get a theme like so many do. This was strictly bug issues.

I find this theme, kid is just starting out, I still really like the theme. Im one of the first to buy it.

it has a few bugs.. but thats ok, Im willing to work things out with the guy, in email (not comments) as to not hurt his sales. Language soon becomes an issue.. so I give him the PW to go in and fix the issue….he goes in for a couple hrs and then emails me with ” I think I see the problem” proceeds to tell me how to fix the problem. I said what? you were just in there, why didnt you do it? its a freash WP install with ONLY his demo content installed….so whats for me to fix? After asking him this, I get back ” I dont think i be good at this and hope you have pleasure for questions I can please help thanks” HUH ?????? I noticed now, no more have been sold, and he stopped answering presale questions. As I said, I was only trying to be nice and thought I could write him a great reveiw after he fixed HIS bugs… was very surprised it turned out like this. The theme (in my opinion) was very promising as it was very creative. Lesson?...Im only going to buy from long term authors from now on.
