Hi,

At July 20, 2014, I submitted a HTML template and I got soft reject. It’s demo URL: http://demo.cantothemes.com/html/cwv1/

Reviewer Message:
Soft Rejected Reason: Overall, this is a good concept but there are a couple issues here: We already have a number of submissions with the same overall design and concept and we have to draw the line somewhere. I think we’re reached a point of saturation. At this point, we’re only looking for unique variations of this design: for another one to be approved it would have to have a couple of unique touches and features that differentiate it from what’s already available and definitely be of higher quality. Minimal templates can be clean and simple when you manage to handle the white space and details to provide a simple but yet unique template. But if you can’t, it will look like an incomplete template – blank template. In this case, the submitted template is more like a ‘framework’ than a full fledged design. If you’re going with minimalism, you need to make sure all the little details check out. Additionally, all JavaScript should be written with “use strict” mode on. For example, you can do this with jQuery as follows: (function($) { “use strict”; // Author code here })(jQuery);

And November 28, 2014, I have resubmitted with lot of improvement and today it’s got soft rejected again with almost same feedback. It’s demo URL: http://demo.cantothemes.com/html/cworld/

Yeah think you might be right Tom – would be great to get it all working smoothly with the jekyll build command but im getting nowhere here so might just settle for compiling the LESS separately

I use extra LESS compiler “Prepros”. Also you can use with Grunt or “Koala” LESS compiler.

This thread has blown my mind!!! I feel rather stupid Thanks for the tips here guys!!

Oh, I feel the same ;) I thought it’s only me thinking this way :sunglasses2:

Thanks guys! Great advises!

This makes me feel better :)

Just installed jekyll, and tbh its not making a lot of sense to me but I imagine regular php would do the trick but does anyone have any other suggestions?

php do this but php don’t have any build system to compile it to plane HTML. But jekyll convert your all pages to plane HTML see at _site folder of your jekyll project.

Currently I am using jekyll for building HTML template.

Use Jekyll. You can create only one file “header.html” and include it into all pages. When you ready for distribution just run this command jekyll build. I hope you will love it. :)

I need your help to improve my item. Please provide your feedback.

Comment: “Parts of this template are still too generic. Focus on developing the concept of this item further and making generic sections a bit more unique.”

They Should Banned there accounts + Banned the Other Accounts Link to the same person! What a Joke!@

They will never ban him for this reason, as he is a elite author with 3000+ sales. Banning account means at least 500 angry customers (with view of wasting time on theme, which is quite right), as refund do not solves issues every time.

If it was some entry level author could have been banned same day.

May be account banned is not solution but there effected product could be banned.
