Providing the top part of the V5 registration document is filled in correctly by yourself and the seller you will be fine to drive the car providing it is taxed you can drive it in the UK for a limited time before exporting it.

The seller will then send the documents off to the DVLA and a Registration certificate will be delivered to you within 2-4 weeks. This will have to be to your home address that is on your license, you cant just hang around in the UK and have it delivered to a random address dude (not sure where you got that idea from).

These are the pages you need to be looking at for your info. If your unsure of anything the best thing to do is get in touch with the DVLA directly for clearer guidelines.

To be honest it may seem complicated, but its complicated for a reason…to discourage people from doing exactly what you are intending to do. If people wish to buy cars from the UK they are encouraged to use the ‘direct export scheme’ which means the vehicles stay off the road and are bought and sold correctly.

This topic really has been done to death to be honest, if you do a forum search you can see for yourself. I personally dont see the point in having such a site when istock is already so well established but time will tell on this one I guess…

I would love to see a “on demand” marketplace where people in need of something can post and we can make an quote for that project :)

Isn’t that what Envatos Freelance Switch is for???

Read the Forum Rules Before Posting

Just a question for you pixeljunkyard, can you please guide me to where I can find ” Renaming Items ” in the forum rules? I’m really curious about this. * ULTRA SARCASTIC *

timsoret Mail support. They can help you out with this.

I think he was referring to the fact that the guy posted a link to his file in the forums enabled, no sarcasm needed just the ability to read

Yeah, I never give a client a project before they pay but I do let them demo the website on my servers.

Im confused as this isnt what you said in your original post. You stated that “they don’t pay their final balance” , leaving you with a bunch of dead projects.

IMPO its not your responsibility/duty to teach/help train clients on even a basic level, if they dont have the knowledge to keep the site running or update it then you should be putting yourself forward, updating sites is a great way to earn extra $

Firstly I wouldnt be handing over ANY goods until 100% of the balance is recieved, let them view it by all means but certainly dont give full access to projects until they have paid for them.

If it then turns out that they have asked for more than they can cope with then it is their problem and their problem only, that should NEVER affect you getting paid!

Absolutely hilarious!!!! And confirms what I’ve always believed…that there is no point whatsoever in getting into those kinds of talks with clients because after wasting 1-2 hours on typing out these emails, when all is said and done they still think they are in the right and that you are the one with the problem
