The Junkies are moving house….2 days before Christmas woooooooooooopie
@CheshireCat: I think flash technology is much more capable to create complex / useful app that can attract buyer than only full site template. Look at the top sale of all time:http://activeden.net/category/all?sort_by=sales_count&type=files&categories=all&page=1
there is only one site template in the top 5. Other are gallery / application surely have big attraction to buyer due to their characteristic and usefulness.
I don’t see any much competition if you put all flash template together, we already have that in Site Template category. http://activeden.net/category/site-templates
Btw competition is good, if you want to make more money you ought to be more talent, simple truth![]()
Agreed
I really like the idea of moving flash templates to their own site, but ….
A) I can see by doing this it may dry up the other flash sales. Your definately right when you say templates are the biggest attraction, they pull the buyers in but if you take that main attraction away from AD then surely this will have a knock on affect on AD sales. People will be bypassing AD and heading straight for the template marketplace.
b) You’d be creating a hell of alot of competiton for yourselves. At the moment when you release a template you already panic about it making sales and thats when your file is only surrounded by 1 or 2 other templates and the rest are other flash components. But could you imagine the competition in trying to sell your new template on a marketplace where you are surrounded by templates and only templates??? EEeeekk
Waaaaaaheeeey, really pleased for you dude! Enjoy it! I’ll get Jay to fill you in on the initiation test asap

D’you know, there isnt much out there that cheeses me off but exaggeration is definately 1 thing that does.
Me and FJ are up to our eyes in bubble wrap, boxes and bloomin removal men and the guy sends 1….I repeat 1 email, doesnt get an instant reply and suddenly it turns into ” i have contacted FJ several times.. no responce” and uses the forums to hound him.
Sometimes people would go alot further in life if they would just remember that people also have lives outside of work, we all try our best to be ontop of our game but come on, at the end of the day we are also human.
Anyways TTFN
Just get Jay to buy you this for Christmas: Its got £863.80 off, bargain!
Ohh Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay??? This may mean that Flashjunkie will have to start reviewing 100 files per day, hope everyone is ok with that

The intuo 4 is alittle hard for me to justify price wise at the mo with it being my first I want to get to grips with using one before handing over that sort of cash. However there are some pretty nice ‘used’ intuos 3’s out there, I may look at one of those rather than the bamboo as quite afew people have commented on their lack of accuracy now
Wow loads of feedback so far, thanks everyone! Lots to think about
If anyone else has any other suggestions or opinions feel free to chip in.
Im about to treat myself to my first graphics tablet and was wondering if anyone has a wacom bamboo? Are they any good? Im a total noob to them and dont want to squander my investment.
Or could anyone recommend a model/make?
I plan on using it for quite fine/detailed illustrations, what size should I be looking at reaslitically?
I do remember a similar thread awhile back but for the life of me I cant find it on the forums so apologies for the repetition.
Thanks in advance

I think time is needed here, trying to conduct a comparrison on how/if sales have been influenced by this new feature during the winter months is just crazy.
Besides, some people are reporting record sales, I really dont see a trend. You have a 4 line new files homepage now, lots of new hot authors breaking out of the woodwork, maybe its time to face facts and see that theres just more competition these days, the gold has to be shared amongst more kings. Its always nice to have a scapegoat around but I really dont think your ‘buy it now’ feature is it.
