I think webdesign will become redundant in the future
Then the future is here now mate.
Australia saidHaha everyone wants a website, nobody wants to put in the work. I used to have projects drag on forever waiting for content.
The funny thing is tho … content !
We get inundated with people wanting a website, but as soon as we ask them for content …... a vague vacant look appears in their eyes !
I see ‘content’ as a great niche on microlancer (or similar).
Australia saidDidn’t see your post Aus, just read about it on BBC – will stick with my mac for now and the smell of fresh brewed coffee!

Looks like Adobe is enjoying killing software… first Flash, now Fireworks, who’s next? I wonder what the Macromedia guys are thinking now
Don’t forget that the truly brilliant Macromedia ‘Freehand’ was the first to be culled and a few features integrated in Adobe Bloatastrator after the purchase.
Have never forgiven Adobe for that
now FW – jeez – progress huh.
Awesome! – now how about MODX ?
The HTML mobile version of ecwid is garbage. You will not sell anything there. I know because we use it.
I’m sure comments like that make the guys working on Ecwid really happy
I have clients selling quite a bit of stuff through Ecwid and the ‘mobile’ catalogue works really well for them – The main Ecwid shopfront may not be responsive (yet) but you can drop the cart widget into a div next to your own responsive images etc and it works a treat. have a ‘buy on mobile’ button (linking to the products mobile URL) which is only viewable on small screens and off you go – easy to purchase on a mobile.
makes me when people say their shopping cart system is not selling for them – 90% of people buy online for the PRICE – maybe check to see if a competitor has the same item available 5 bucks cheaper.
