You need to set bg position fixed on .main-body – when scrolling the bg flickers.

Your text is running out of the container: http://methodtec.com/libertas/?page_id=168#social

Look at last paragraph compare to the rest of the paragraphs: http://methodtec.com/libertas/?page_id=167 – also, content container touches bottom of page – implying I need to keep scrolling – but it’s end of page.

Block quotes left border almost invisible: http://methodtec.com/libertas/?page_id=166

Copyright need better spacing on bottom

Me, personally, I don’t care for the colors.

I also agree with Charlie

I don’t know much about mobile, but the API does not have a way to upload new files, nor a way to get (let alone reply) to item comments.

Does all this have something to do with this?:

Naw.

To use APNGs right now you would need to do a browser sniff. If FF or Opera – use APNG, else use GIF. I don’t know if it’s possible to test to see if Chrome has the extension installed or not – never tried.

Personally, I’d use APNG as an unobtrusive enhancement via JS. Set the GIF as default, but if FF or O, swap GIF for PNG.

And just a tip: Opera chokes on APNG when scrolling with a mouse … If you use Opera watch this image as you scroll with the mouse

see how it “flutters”. Kind of sucky – but it is a step in the right direction!

Awesome @CodeFusion, thanks for sharing, did not know about it :)

No worries!

@Graphic-Studio – you need an extension / plugin for Chrome to display APNGS : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/apng/ehkepjiconegkhpodgoaeamnpckdbblp

So, you know how you make GIF spinners and they have the crusty white edges … APNG to the rescue:

How exactly would one go about requesting to be featured?

I’d start with one of the review team members – whoever reviews your TF items. Maybe contact them via the profile page. I know that if you submit a support ticket, the support team often delegates some of the (appropriate) tickets directly to the review team to answer.

He’s trolling us guys :)

Busted! LOL!

These are APNG files.

APNG is an Animated Portable Network File – something that has been around for a long time (2004), but not widely supported (or known about). It has a “fallback” feature that allows it to display the first frame of the animation if your software (ie: browser) does not support APNG

IE, Safari and Chrome* do not support APNG while Opera and FireFox (Chrome too if you have the plugin) do.

So, first frame (Green):

Second Frame (Yellow):

Knowing the market split of the browsers, (and the obscureness of APNG) I took advantage of the situation. I designed this 2 frame animation to NOT loop, and hide the first frame for software that supports APNG – thus some of you seen Yellow. Because the “code” for hiding the first frame is inside the APNG “section” of the PNG file, the software that does not support APNG just see the first frame: Green.

Because of the god awful colors I used, I’m not going to put the looped animated one here – but you can get hypnotized (or a migraine) here must use FF or Opera (or chrome with plugin)

If you want to enable APNG support on chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/apng/ehkepjiconegkhpodgoaeamnpckdbblp

Outside of messing with your friends (and browser snooping spinners), APNG is not useful for much at the moment (because of browser support) but it’s something I’ve had my eye on for many, many years now and really hope to see it as a fully supported graphic. Can you imagine “Spinners” in 24bit color – that look and move as smooth as glass – and much smaller file size than a gif!

Here is another example with transparent backgrounds:
First Frame (2+3)

Second Frame (3+3)

Troll: which one you see depends on your browser ;)
