I don’t know if a “universal template for item description” exists, but this tool http://revaxarts-themes.com/envatitor/

will help you create and preview your item’s description before submitting it to envato.

WOW! So shocked about how things are handled here!

Seeing that authors from different levels are not happy about the way Envato handle these things makes me afraid to go in the full-time Envato author model! (which i just recently decided to do).

I hope that Envato REALLY listens to AUTHORS, as they are the core/heart of the system, without AUTHORS there will be no Envato, no products, no buyers, no money, NADA.

Good luck everyone!

I think there is a problem somewhere, in the WordPress plugins category also, the latest accepted item is on the homepage, but not showing in the WordPress category listing page.

This is very bad, as it will hurt the items visibility, specially in the first days when it appears on the top of the page.

I hope Envato does something fast to resolve this issue.

Thank you very much dtbaker for your input.

Actually, i’m uploading it ONLY to Envato (still in the review queue), and planned to sell it only here.

Then i thought about this exclusivity thing that needed a little clarification to me.

Thank you so much!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all good and having good times (and good sales, because good sales = good times :D).

Well, i’m a little bit confused here about the exclusivity of items, and need your help, please.

Let’s say i have an item that i sell exclusively on Envato, is it safe/legal/normal to sell the same item elsewhere but it with more features or less features? [while keeping my exclusivity on envato]

For example :

Item A (sold only on Envato) : has 10 main features

Item B (based on item A) : has 12 main features (more than item A) or 8 main features (less than item A).

Item B will be sold elsewhere under another brand.

Your help is very appreciated.

Hello there,

Keep your expectations as optimistic as possible, without optimism, good hope & expectations, we can’t live.

“Responsivity” is a must nowadays, for me, as a buyer, if i have two scripts in front of me, if one of them is responsive, this is a big difference and an important comparison key.

I see you updated your item 3 times in 3 days, you are very active, that’s very good!

I uploaded my item 3 days ago and i’m still waiting for the review to finish :D

Wishing you the Best of luck in sales!

The progress bar (as part of the Dashboard Plus extension) is not accurate at all (just like the old progress bar wasn’t accurate). It’s just a fancy addon to keep people happy, it doesn’t reflect the progress one bit. :)

Hello dtbaker,

Yes, “Dashboard Plus” is the reason! Didn’t think about it at all!

Thanks for pointing this out!

Have a good day :)

I strongly suggest that you’ve worked or think of the new item while waiting for the approval :) It will take 2-5 days to get approved so hang in there :P. Also, the progress bar has been removed and I’m not sure why you’re seeing it. Cheers, phpbits

Yep, start working on the new item is the idea thing to do!

It appears that i still see the progress bar because i’m using the “Dashboard Plus extension”.

Thanks phpbits :)

There’s about 7 million threads on this topic; at least 2 new/same each week. Please search …

I didn’t think this would be a common issue.

Thank you WebFactory.
