So how’s the weather everyone. Here it was warm yesterday, but today it’s a bit chilly again. I can’t wait for spring!
MB, are you a Pistons fan?
I’ll be very happy if flashden refunds me my $8.
I am not in the slightest bit concerned about any issues regarding uploading files to a new site. If I accidentally upload them to a site for backup and someone gets a hold of that link and downloads all these free files without my knowledge, I will of course change the link as soon as I am notified of this.
Come on Lance, do the right thing here!
It should be FD’s policy to not negotiate with Flash terrorists.
Jasonbro, I think it may have been overlooked that you do not have to change the code in the Actionscript for the file to work. The file has been updated online, so just re-download and you’ll have yourself a working file.
Many companies do not offer refunds for damaged products. They offer exchanges. That’s essentially what happened here.
For example, in most stores, if you buy a DVD and open it, you can not return it for a refund since the DVD could have been copied. However, you could exchange the DVD for another of the same title. Same principle applies to the files on FlashDen.
Someone please shoot me! (.#see below)
Man I feel your pain. This kind of thing happens to me all the time!
you´re right, I abandoned ship actually
I was doing all this in order to create a blog structure wich could load images, preload and place them correctly, all by only specifying the image src inside the text field and letting the code calculate the rest, but it was a too big of a hassle and now I´m doing it the old fashion way by separating the xml,
pardon my french…
I had the same issue with a blog so I ended up having to live with the results (text to the side of the image). Because the text will always float to the side of the image, using multiple breaks will only push the lines down until they clear the image. That’s why when you’re using different sized images the same amount of breaks won’t work every time. Maybe this will be solved in the future (table support would provide a lot of flexibility).
if possible send me one of the problem fla’s and I’ll take a look at it for you.
Hey Guys, The problem has been fixed. Credit to FlyingTinMan. Thanks.
Cool, now the title of this thread can be changed….
^ yeah I was making an assumption so my bad.
Thats surely not all the code and its pretty trivial stuff… hardly an xml editor now is it
It seems the file was flawed, but now the author’s code is available for all to see. And no one knows if the author would be pleased with this.
wierd your break tags wouldnt work… were they within paragraph tags?
I’d have to take a look at it again. I just remember having a hard time with it. I think you might be onto something though by disabling wrapping.
