if the composer is more than 70 (or so) years dead, his works are going to public domain. BUT that only affects the composition. You may not use a recording of that song, because the one who made that recording is the copyright holder of that. You are only allowed to play it yourself and sell that.

So if my friend play any symphony of mozart I can put this song into my project?
