I would change the tires to fit the classic wrench head. At the moment they look like moons.
Second million will come even faster!
Take the time to learn keyboard shortcuts. This goes for any software.
I would personally make it smaller. The ratio between type and icon is just too much of a difference.
Sent you an email a couple days ago—just making sure you got it.
Read all of David Airey’s and Graham Smith’s blog posts. There are really no tutorials as a logo is an idea. It should never rely on software effects. Simple is always best.
Make sure you instill enough trust in the client (via website, chatting, etc) so he feels safe paying ufront. If the project is for several thousands I would break it up into more than two payments as well. Third upfront, third when designs have been accepted and third when files are delivered.
Make sure you get paid before starting work.
iMac has more power than anyone needs. It’ll suit you fine.
I’m against exclusiveness of selling a logo. I think they should be sold as many times as possible.
Even if the price would be 3 times higher? Just check how many logos are there. And how many good logos are there with 0 sales. But i have an idea, who are the buyers. Designers who has an order and they have to show 3-4 different variation to the client. They buy that logos what they think it could be works. Maybe a bit modified as well change the name etc… Thats around costs for them 100$ but they save a lot of time man… And believe me they not selling that logo for 200$ or 300$. Or maybe they are, moreover they say “free” but with in a whole damn package with other services, orders and those are makes them the real income. And do you think that Mr. John Doe, who is the owner of the bigest, local Cotton River Ltd is he knows anything about Envato? Is he has any chance to meet his semiprecious logo as an another company’s trademark? Let to be honest. The chance for that is even less than he ever would find this site and realize his logo actually just made from a template… from 29$
Nope, because if it’s 3 times higher, and you sell logo exclusive, you only make $43.5 if you are at 50% profit rate. Then you can’t sell the logo again?
Plus, think about the companies that will buy the logo exclusive and their company never be successful and go under. Then that logo will never be seen by anyone.I think selling non exclusive is the way to go.
Well a logo should never be $100 in the first place if it’s exclusive. Should start at $250.
