P.S. it wouldn’t make any sense to hack into a developer’s server to get files that wont even make up 50% of the actual plugin as they are only files that needed to be updated. It would make even less sense when the files are not actual updates but instructions to update specific variables.
Sure but, if they can gain access to the server via your plugin, they’ll find even more than that.
- Search the Marketplace for similar plugins (by tags)
- The best way to know is to try uploading it and wait for your inspector
Go to Settings page and click “Item Licenses” and you can see list of license types to choose.
Lol, silly me! I was sure that I clicked the “Item Licenses” tab, I even copied the link without checking back.
Well, I updated my item more than 2 times, but I never tried to upload only the part I wanted to change. Try to do this first, if it asks you to re-upload all of them, you’ll have to do so.
Then what you can do is, do as they say, don’t add the optional files, upload them somewhere (that will be permanent) and in the item details or the “comments” section of your item, or even the documentation, add a section talking about these optional files.
Not trying to make you hate Notepad++, but you should absolutely try Sublime Text 2:
Mac and PC
Edit: I got Notepad++ but I never had this problem with it… It’s been a long long time since I used it (Because of Sublime Text 2) so it may be a version bug, did you update to the last version?
