I know my work is not the best, that’s why I keep trying like everyone else.
I just don’t want to change my style so it can fit Envato’s and reviewer’s taste.

It’s not that you have to completely change your style, Dan, but the quality does need to improve for some of your projects to be considered acceptable for sale on the marketplace. This isn’t about you having to change yourself in any way, it’s about improving and evolving your existing style to better yourself as a motion graphics artist.

In this industry, if you remain stagnant and aren’t willing to change with the times, frankly you’ll get left behind. Personally, when I look back at animations that I designed 5 years ago, I laugh at how bad I think they look. But at the time, I thought they were amazing! I’m sure that’s the case for most of us.

The fact of the matter is, as authors, we all have to improve as time goes on. Some of the projects that are in my own portfolio wouldn’t be approved if I submitted them today because our quality standards have risen.

You keep mentioning that you think there are recently accepted projects that are “crap” compared to yours. What is important to realize is that we DO in fact accept projects that are simple in design and execution. However, those simple projects need to be exceptionally-designed and professionally executed.

There’s a major disconnect when you say that you’re not willing to change anything about your work, but continue to be upset about not getting your projects approved for sale.

Again, just keep working on it Dan. You’re very close, but you need to push the envelope a bit, if you’re willing to do so.

I did not say I will not change ANYTHING about my work.
Also,I think I overcame the obstacle of getting rejected long time ago as I have many of my projects approved. It really upsets me trying to do that again because in the comments,it was saying that my projects don’t bring anything new and it’s not beutiful quality-wise.
That means the management inside the project of the execution of the effects I used is alright.

And even if you have problems with the excecution of the project, you should comment on that instead of the appearence.
I do not accept approving some junk projects while telling me that I need to improve the quality of mine.

Once again, I am trying to improve and I will improve in my own way.
We can discuss this in private if you insist and I can send you some examples.
Anyway, I think we discussed this a lot and it became annoying for everyone…

Have a nice day,
-Dan

No one said you have to change your style, improve it.
If you think this is the best you can then you might as well stop trying.
Failure is a learning process but you have to see and admit your failure.
If you can’t do that. No one can help you, not even you.

That’s what I said,I’ll keep trying,
VH tried to improve the quality of the items by rejecting mine and other’s projects.
Although the Home page of VH says that there are still Low quality projects, that’s why I am mad.

Hey man, I don’t want to upset you. I like your work.
You are not arrogant nor realistic.
It is not the strongest of the species that survive,
nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.
Charles Darwin.

If you’re intelligent enough, you’ll HAVE to change, don’t you think?
If you do not have a the ability, that’s another thing

I know my work is not the best, that’s why I keep trying like everyone else.
I just don’t want to change my style so it can fit Envato’s and reviewer’s taste.

Obviously the main problem is your 2 year break. Today you can’t still represent this ‘style’.

No. I still can.
Even if the Era changes,I will be the same.
I’ve seen projects that are really junk compared to the rejected ones of mine. It’s not that I am being arrogant, but a realist.

“Today” is just a word, everything can stand everywhere but the tastes of the reviewers are different than mine.
I do not care anymore, sorry for wasting everyone’s time.

They are both way too simple dude. Not much of animation going on. Keep it “moving”.

This is the style that represents me. I like it. Thanks for the advice tho. Cheers, -Dan

But anyways it’s a waste of time and energy as nothing can actually come out of it, I just have to imposve my skills to suit your tastes. I started the thread,so I can tell my thoughts and not expecting to solve anything as the authors are always at fault.

Thanks again for spending time answering and I wish you a great day.

Asking me if I think something is good will just bring us to the conclusion that it’s a matter of taste.
I can also send you in private, projects that I think that are equal,or ever less good that mine if you insist.
Also I see no define reasons when a project is rejected, it just not meet your quality creteria etc.
I am always trying to impove myself as everyone, I do not think neither Inflife or a bigger is not trying to do so.

Thanks for the support and advice, I’ll try to be awesome in my own way. Discussing further about it is waste of energy and I had enough of it.
Best regards,
-Dan

“Of course they’re not something that you would be completly stunned but it DESERVES to be accepted.”

Doesn’t the statement above answer your own question?

As an author, you should be uploading projects that you think WILL stun customers with great design and execution. Otherwise, why would you upload the project?

Take pride in your work, and keep developing your design skills. Based on the examples you’ve provided and your current portfolio, it looks like you’re almost there.

Keep your head up and keep working!

No it does not answer my question as it’s not something that stuns ME,but it may stun some people.

Because some reviewer do like it (No offence at all), it does not mean that it won’t be liked by others.

I know that you want to have “strict” criteria so the files that are on VH are excelent but have you checked the 1st page?
But again, it’s a matter of taste in the end?

Funny thing is that.with all the respect, by accepting these projects,no one will blame you, you know they’re not JUNK in any way. But instead, you’ll give buyers more variety.
I am ready to deliver any type of judgment and I am pretty sure that my objection will not counter almost at all as I am not someone “big”, but sadness and unfariness rules inside me right now.
Time I wasted could be used for something else. Anyway, nothing can be done after this point. Have a nice Day.

Hello there Hive Community,

Of course you’re not at fault but I have to release my anger somewhere.
I came back to Videohive from a long break and I WAS really bumped up into making projects.
I spent.actually as it seems, I WASTED tons of energy and hours to make some projects and upload them. 2 the 3 I upload were reviewed and one is still pending.

Both of my project were rejected for reasons that I can NOT accept as I have seen files which are totally junk. (Yes, I know I am not in the position to judge these, Yes I know I should not tell these kind of stuff) but this really gets on my nerves.

I know people that would totally buy my project which preview you can see here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km_lHq6i3tE&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFTE_0UnX18

I am thinking of stopping doing that as it seems I am just wasting my time. Of course they’re not something that you would be completly stunned but it DESERVES to be accepted. I think i hear the cry because of the unfairness.

Obviously this thread will be lost in the countless threads but I HAD to post it.
Reviewers and Hive itself are either strict on specific members/projects or it just have changed all these months I was not here.

I am really dissapointed and sad as I thought I found something that will make me feel someone.
Sorry for those who are in the same place and I hope I did not bother you with my thread.
Have a nice day people.
Cheers!
-Dan
