So I try to delete one of my old item, it doesn’t work, load forever.
I try to send a support ticket, doesn’t work, load forever.
What do I do?

Perseverance is the key.
Oh wow, happy to see this thread starting to make sense, didn’t thought it would happen seeing how it started
By the way guys, I don’t think you wish I would be the pre-reviewer
Kailoon and Ivor would have 2-3 themes to review each day haha
Thanks Jarel, I appreciate your input.
noon responsive?
Flex Slider 2 = responsive

If they hire a “pre-reviewer” it should not be a current author on the marketplace. Everyone is competing for sales and it wouldn’t be fair if another author gets to reject you… my 2 cents
Kailoon and ivor have item for sales. Ok no more forum time for me, its nonsense after nonsense.

DanyDuchaine saidWe have figured out what you mean so don’t be cocky.
Maybe I wasn’t clear. For example, on Themeforest, there’s Kailoon and Ivor who both do an excellent job. But in my opinion, there is too many submission for them.
But their job is not only deciding if an item is ready or not, they have to test, look at the documentation, run themecheck to see if everything is ok, look at the demo etc etc ..
I am not saying Envato should hire some reviewers with the skill level of Kailoon and Ivor, but some guys with decent knowledge of what should and should not be approve, to make their job easier.
It’s like in the healthcare system in my country, they were talking about allowing nurse to do “doctor” task that doctor didn’t need to do so they can focus on real important stuff .. if that doesn’t make sense, I don’t know what will.
The doctor thing is completely different.
You can be slightly sick to extremely sick
A theme can only be three things.
- Bad (Takes seconds to work out)
- Good (Soft reject, point out things don’t spend a lot of time)
- Really Good (Accepted, a larger amount of time checking code etc)
People already complain about there being too many themes pushed onto the homepage
I think I will have to continue to be cocky because you definitly don’t get it.
Even if they don’t take a “LOT” of time .. they still take time and there is a TON of file uploaded that aren’t ready. Even if it take 2 mins .. 150 submissions is still 5 hours.
And we are not talking about updates and soft-rejected themes that need to be reevaluated.
And also, my idea is based on the fact that it will only continue to grow .. don’t you see it?

I think what Danny is trying to say is that if there is a pre reviewer, then the current review staf can do other, more productive things until there is a set amount of items that went trough the prereviewer and then the current review staf shoots into action on a set hour or something like that![]()
Ah, someone who can figure stuff on his own, I like that.

No reviewer will lose ten hours to look at a file that is “obviously” not ready for sale. They already do what you describe in the job description of this hypothetical pre-reviewer. I’m sure they have a list of steps to check that begins with looking at the preview. This could take at max five minutes and if the preview shows that the item has no chance to get accepted they will reject it and they will pass on to the next item from the queue. There is no need for a prereviewer.
That make no sense at all. What if there’s 300 items that are not ready? 5 min each isn’t a lot you will say?

If then only 5% of the themes were getting looked at by the “real” reviewers there would be too many reviewers at the end?
No, items would just get approved faster.
I think one of the major problem Envato have about the reviewing process is that too many people upload stuff that isn’t ready for sale.
I’ve read somewhere that something like 95% of the files are rejected. That is a LOT of time that reviewers have to take just to go trought these files.
Imagine if someone’s job would be to select the items that would go to the “real” reviewers? A first selection to take away the files that are “obviously” not ready for sale and then leave the real stuff to our precious reviewers.
I for one would be happy to do this job on Themeforest. After 4 years on the marketplace (had another account) and more than 30 submissions without any rejections (except some small soft rejection) .. I think I know what would make the final cut.
