The only reason why I kinda care is that most of the time I just buy to learn how it was built…
On the other hand, if I was just planing on using the app (say just throwing it on my server host – grab a cup of coffee, on with my day) and not viewing the source, either way would be perfectly fine with me
EDIT : (to OP) I swear I proof read that thing – didn’t see any errors…
I am interested in know what buyers opinions are pertaining to whether you’d prefer to buy software from Codecanyon that is built in raw php, rather than with the integration fo a framework.
Personally I would give extra points to an application being sold that is build php from scratch, but usually I dosen’t matter to me. If the application works well and is nicely designed, I disregard how it was coded.
I’m not your mate, and don’t talk down to me. I’m not stupid. I read the terms of service I know exactly what it says. If they don’t want me here that is perfectly find, I don’t wish to interact anywhere I am not welcome.
Think before you speak, it is a tremendous skill that will have you a lot in life. Not once did the person who I was replying to mention Envato’s TOS , he referred to the law. Specifically that you need to be 18 to have online accounts. Which is incorrect, and un-researched. It is possible that in which ever country he resides in that’s the case, however my badge under my avatar (which is publicly viewable) explicitly places me in the United States. There by making his comment not applicable to my situation, and your reply inappropriate.
Mate. You currently work on the Envato marketplaces. Each business is entitled to chose who it works with. If they decide you can’t work on this marketplace only if your parents agree than that is the law. So you can whine all you want and cry all you want that there is no such law because if you can read , you can also readThe law states no such thing.I’m under 18… I think that age doesn’t partake in the creativity and professionalism someone can have.No but the law requires you to be over 18.Envato may suspend or terminate your registration as a Member and deny you access to your Member Account immediately if:
A. you breach these Membership Terms or any other terms and conditions, agreements or rules governing the Sites; B.Envato is unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us as part of your original application or in the course of using the Sites; C.Envato believes that your actions may cause legal liability for you, our other Members or us.Should Envato elect to suspend, terminate or restrict your Membership in any way, you may be prohibited from accessing the Sites temporarily or permanently. In either case, you must not apply for a new Member account.
Translated. If they say you are not allowed to be here if you are under 18 years of age in their membership terms, which they do, then if you don’t get what they ask for ( meaning parental approval ) you get banned.
In which case if you apply again, under age, you get the banned without the chance of applying for a new account when you get bigger and brighter.
It’s their choice because they are international. In a country working from 13 is okay, in another it’s child abuse. In order for Envato to not get sued, have problems, get into international problems better said with your country, you need consent. If someone takes you down town with a large sum of money or a sum of money you just earned off Envato, and your asked where is that from and you say Envato, then they might go after Envato for child labor. This way, your mom and dad, agree that you are working, and that it’s okay. Get it kids?If you don’t like it or you find this as not being right, then you can tell support and they will kindly tell you the same thing.
I’m under 18… I think that age doesn’t partake in the creativity and professionalism someone can have.No but the law requires you to be over 18.
The law states no such thing.
Excellent! While the idea of getting an extended sale priced at 25x is awesome, I have a feeling we’re a lot more likely to see extended license purchases with these new rates.
profit by volume
This sounds great! 5 – 7 times more than the standard cost is very reasonable!
The marketplaces just seem to keep getting better and better for authors. New rates – now this!
I hade issues with this script not to mention the author! I contacted the author numerous times and was simply ignored.
I suppose you could try to get some support from the autor, I personally doubt you will get any, and if you don’t, contact envato’s friendly support. I got a refund when I did this.
not a bad idea… why not just get them to contact you via your contact page?Would that confirm that they’ve bought the file? How would I find out if they did?
Yea, in the email that envato sends you, there will be a link to confirm whether or not that user bought, one of your items.
At least this was the case the last time someone contacted me though my den.
I have been wondering this with the item descriptions as well.
It’s a pretty highly debated topic, personally I don’t mind opening things in new tabs myself if I need to
I agree, except, when I’m viewing a forum thread or description I have an expectation for links to open in new tabs. It’s not a big deal though.
Throw it in there
