I have one question regarding building up a wordpress theme. Let say I have a template for a blog item. With this template I can create as many blogs as I want. Is there a way to have a custom field(when creating a page) that I could then take to the single.php page? For example: I have two blogs: blog1 and blog2 and for them I set the custom field to “Blog 1” and “Blog 2”. I can read the blog templates very easy. But how would I get this variable to the single.php page? Is this possible or will I have to asing this to each post? So the sinbgle page would “somehow” know that he “came” from blog1 or blog2.
Many thanks for all the answers.
I have one question. If I have multiple blogs in my WP theme and there single items are opened using ajax. The close button is an ajax anction situated in the single.php file. How can I know to wich blog the opened item goes/which blog item needs to be closed.
Can I pass a variable to the single page? Is there any other/better solution.
Thanks for the answers.
Is there anything specific that should not be used in the page coding(js/php/html, ..), because it makes the iPad3 Safari browser crash. The thing works ok on all PC browsers(including Safari) and on iPad2 as well. What is so special or can be an issue on iPad3 that it crashes Safari?
Really appreciate all the help.
Hi, tnx for the reply.
I have done that. But that just doesn’t refresh the page when posting a comments. Wher you log in/log out.., the page still refreshes. Also the posting comment needs the page to be refresh to view it. Any suggestions on that?
I have one question. Is there a plugin or a code that could be used to make all the thing from the comments with ajax. So that log in/log out/post comment(all comments actions) would not refresh the entire page. Have been searching but no luck so far.
Tnx very much.
no, I didn’t buy. It’s regarding the my page that I am building. Pointed out the example just to be sure the problem is understood.
the page is in built version, so I only have it on my locahost. The address would beb somethink like http://www.some-link.com/#!/pageOne. #! is basicly a hash used for one pagers. I see the same issue on one of the kriesi pages: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/coalition/, clicking in safari on blog, and then on some other menu item always goes to home.
Thanks in advance.
I have one problem. I have a one-pager site and some outher page inside it. When I go to this outherpage and click on the menu item that is on the home page(one-pager so all sites are there), it link ok in Firefox(it takes the hash) but not in Safari. It goes to the link without the hash. Any idea how to solve this?
Many many thanks.
Here’s my code: code download
If you run it you will see that at the bottom, there is a toggle. When opening it, the content is not be be seen, because the content height doesn’t increase.
If the toggle is opened by default, it can be seen but than after cloding an area where the content was stays there.
Any advice mybe how to do this so that the content would get bigger on the fly?
