Derek,

Ill be using your option tree probably in my first theme to be released. Im not sure yet but im looking into it since it would save me some time:)

But i wouldn’t feel right using it not donating. So theme is out, how can i donate to you?

Maybe you o charge for this, but then i just haven’t found where or how much yet so please point me in the right direction in that case.

perhaps you should contact the theme author instead of posting “shame on you!” on the forum ;)

Or even better, let a professional do the job.

To me i think you should make those circles linked. I don’t like the effect of hovering and then nothing when i click:)

I feel the opacity on hovering the logo is not necessary.

Work more on the responsive stuff, ie the menu looks bad.

The navbar is malplaced to me, should be floated further right.

Padding /margins overall but esp in portfolio desc.

Work more on the typography.

Hope it helps,

/W

Some basics are that you should have a thought behind what you create. This one seems to be for tech sites, but then why put pillows in it? Remove the textshadows.

Im the wrong guy to give pointers since im no fan of too much colors. To that belongs to children pages.

You also need to correct padding and margins.

I would drop the “apple” menu. That kind of menu was a hit a few years back and since it’s been used too much it’s not great anymore. The banner “new” is not readable.

Overall i think you should work more on it and get inspiration from other sites. To me this is too much a mixture of 90´s and early 00´s.

Sorry for that, but its my honest opinion..

Thanks for the answer!

My clients wouldnt have any need for using photoshop though. I am using font icons, css3. But maybe it could be a good idea to supply a few psd files for the slider image size. Not sure if its necessary though.

Hello!

I am working on my first design + wp theme to submit in probably 2-3 weeks. I am designing it mostly directly with css and html and not in photoshop. I am looking to submit a site template and a wordpress theme. No PSD templates. So, question is: Am i required to submit psd files with the site template and the wordpress theme ? Need to know if i have to create them.

Second, is it wiser to first submit a site template, and then finish the wordpress theme and submit that? Site template will be done sooner, so anyone with experience that can tell me if you make more or less money on the final wordpress theme by submitting a site template first. Or is there any difference.

Thanks in advance

William

You need sprites for the social media icons in the footer. Both for visual / effect but also for making http requests to a minimum.

Hello! Looks clean and great! Maybe a little common but i def think its the kind of theme that will sell on tf.

Something i personally have issues with, and its not only your theme, overall on the themeforest designs are the fontsize. My personal feeling is that 14px should be minimum. But alot of themes here seem to go with font sizes of 11-13px.

But keep at it!

I think it still need a lot of work unfortunately. You need to read up on how to combine colors for contrast. And then you have problems with margins, paddings and typography. But keep at it! Learning through experience is great !
