We’re entrepreneurs.

I think that’s the best definition… You make money selling stuff over the Internet, you get income, you pay the income taxes, so that makes you entrepreneurs… isin’t that right? :)

Why wouldn’t the sound file just come with the video anyways since they are synced together visually and soundly? ... A sound file that is made and works with a particular video should surely come in the same download file so it doesn’t put people like me or DudeMatt in the same position of wanting to purchase a video file, but unsure of it’s completeness. And without it’s corresponding audio file, the presentation becomes ineffective.

@ Guza: Most audio files, for instance those licensed Royalty Free, are not allowed to be distributed as separate files in a project. So it’s obvious that most authors don’t include sound files in their projects. They’re simply not allowed to. However, those sound files are permitted in previews, because in preview it’s not a separate file. And I totally agree with that.

Or if it was so easy to get the information on where to obtain the sound file from the author as they do describe on their product’s front page, then why don’t they just publish that information right there for everyone to see?

You got that one right! ”...to get the information on where to obtain the sound file…” And I don’t even mean giving that information publicly in the project description, but to just reply to emails with such a question. And as I wrote earlier, this makes a little problem if one hasn’t bought that certain project. It seems like authors don’t even bother responding to emails from their prospective future buyers.

i was wondering if anyone on this forum has the Sound Files to these following video preloaders; .... I have contacted each author of these videos, but I have not heard back from any of them and it’s been a long while.

You see…, I faced the same problem a couple times here, few months ago. I contacted several authors about where they got the music/sound effects from for their certain projects, and they never replied. Reason? Well, let me put it this way… You’ll get all the info about the sound in their projects, if you BUY those projects. That’s what I think is the reason.

I don’t want to be mean to anyone, but it seems like “this knowledge” is somehow reserved for buyers only. If so, I don’t understand why. Does the fact that I haven’t bought any projects so far, automatically make me a suspected pirate? Hope it’s not like that, it’d be ridiculous.

Guza, I doubt that anyone can post the information you requested on the forum. Because if the sound files come from any sites other than AudioJungle, links to those sites are not allowed on the VH forum. Anti-competition rules, I guess. And THAT , is understandable.

No offence to anyone.

regards, Matt

If anyone is interested, there’s another great sale (70% off) at [removed]. It ends this coming Friday 12th.

This time it concerns all of their multi-layer albums. You choose any 3 of those albums, and instead of paying $300, you pay only $89.85 !!

I have bought some of the products here (only when they’re on 1/2 price): [removed]

Now, they’re even cheaper… I’ve just checked, and they (still) have that 75% off the regular price for all of their Producer Series albums. So instead of $100, you pay $25 for each album.

Pretty cool bargain, isn’t it?

Mark, How’s the work on this issue going? I’m asking because previews still don’t work like they used to.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Still not working for IE 6 … it was ok untill a few days before.

When I click PREVIEW on any file, I get this:

http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/4055/prevbug.gif

I have flash player installed, other websites like AETUTS + work fine with previews, flash files, etc, using IE 6 .

I will be grateful, if you fix that bug. Please, do :) I know, I know…. IE 6 is bad, old and ugly, but is also fast. I’m sure it’s nothing for a website admin to bring back the previews for IE6 , and it will make me happy, cause I won’t have to switch to some other browser…. :) Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Where’s the upload date of projects that was in the old layout? It’s very useful information for both sellers, and buyers.

Also, when browsing files (VH) there should be info as to which version of AE they are for (7.0, CS3 , CS4). It was in the old layout.

Did I mention that the search engine doesn’t work? :)
