Fine! A similar thing happened to me some time ago with apple loops when they changed their .caf format..
Anyway, nice update, isn’t it? I’m testing it right now for the Spanish/Latin competition
The Akai 88 is quite playable but too soft for my taste. I’m a classic trained pianist. I use a Novation 61 that’s more than decent (no piano feel though) but for the best ‘keyboard feel’ I just kept my old Korg T3 (same wonderful keyboard of Korg M1 and Yamaha DX7) that I also use in live situations. Never find anything that can nearly compare, in today market.. If I hadn’t one I’d search for an old synth on ebay.
Anyway is a a really personal choice; you should go in a shop and try them and also check different velocity curves while playing.
I didn’t try the new Komplete Kontrol one, I’d be curious.
i was an early adopter of 32lives while it was in beta…it’s awesome! but i was talking about the exs24, the logic sampler. the plugin obviously opens no prob in X, but random patches that i use all the time in 9 just won’t open in X. any ideas?
Give me a patch example and I try to see if it opens on mine
Hi studioMonkey, try to use window sets, is supersimple and effective (this is true for every Logic version) and almost nobody knows they exist.
Usually Logic starts with window set 1 (you see the number in the menus between ‘Window’ and ‘Help’ main menus on the top). Close all left menus and maximize your arrange view. Now, click ‘2’ on your keyboard and a new set will appear. Maximize the arrange window and open the three left menus. Now clicking 1 or 2 you have instant acces to different configurations of arrange window, one with menus and one without. Yo have 90 sets at disposal, I think, but the first nine cover all major edit windows combinations
Do your basic sets in your template song and your done
BTW the new LogicX 10.1 update is worth for VCA mix channels only..
Well, for “Picked Acoustic” in my opinion Ilya Efimov plugs are the best followed very closely by Orange Tree (the differences lay in the way you like to play them).
I agree, very useful insights.
Thank you for your time and keep up the good work!
Too late and missing 20” and 30” items in my portfolio too.. Good to know, thanx
