• Longest appearance is during weekends especially on Sunday due to low item approval. Reviewers have to rest too.
• Best day to submit an item is all about the day that has high potential for sales (if i am not mistaken). What good is it that your item will stay very long on the homepage and didn’t help to increase the sales of your other items and the one present on the homepage? I rather have it for 1 or 2 hours with good amount of sales than to have it for 1 or 2 days with no help in sales for that present item and my other marketplace items.

In addition, 1am (and above) Australian time is really awesome time to submit an item and approved approximately the same time. That period of time is when I experience good amount of sales because of the time difference with the US. I don’t know if other authors do experience the same thing.

My little secret:

Even if I finish an item in the morning, I usually wait till midnight (Australian time) to submit it.

when I created the post I didn’t know about that, that’s why I said that I was referring to that in the thread tittle, but now I have another opinion thanks to all of you

Submission date is our choice but not approval date, due to different reviewing time. It varies among categories. And the thing about “best day” here, I think it’s about calculating the option for the longest appearance of your item on the homepage. If your approval date is nearby weekend, you have a chance to stay longer on the frontpage, but on weekend no one would stay in front of the screen. That’s it .

Friday – my mom says. This matches the general strategy of getting approved on Monday (more chances) and enter next week’s top seller page with 7 whole day’s initial sales (if sells)

But these days, we can see many top sellers getting approved on Friday / Thursday and still manages to be popular due to quality of content. So it would be better to allow our brain occupied by quality content than initial sales benefits.

Side note/After thoughts By knowing this information, things could be leveraged. It wouldn’t be unfair to the unknown, but with this it would create trends, & with new trends comes..new trends. What I mean is it will never just be like; Tuesday is the best day to launch! Thats silly. It would be an ever going experiment, that you shouldn’t focus on, unless you have the time. Just get some work done and upload haha.
