I could probably make one if you really need it… Sucks that there seems to be no market, nor any intention of a market for WP plugins here on TF… So I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you, cuz I don’t intend to rush if I’m building it for free.
I absolutely agree with you… I can only assume that the reason some people are listing “no custom fields” as a positive thing would be due to the fact that there are quite a few people out there who just flat out don’t understand (even with the most in-depth instructions) how to edit the custom field to get the desired outcome.
Hmm, I kinda figured… just wanted to make sure cuz that’s a little odd when compared to the vast majority of affiliate/referral programs out there… The majority of them give you a predefined linking code that includes the src to the image on their site… but I guess Envato is uber worried about bandwidth.
So I was re-reading the terms & conditions associated with the referral program along with some “linking” terms that have to do with images hosted on any Envato site. I came across the following bit:
“You are not permitted to link directly to any image hosted on the Sites or our services, such as using an “in-line” linking method to cause the image hosted by us to be displayed on another web site.”
So does this mean that I’m not allowed to copy the URL of the banner image for themeforest/grahicriver/etc and use that location (hotlink) the image when advertising any of the sites on my site?
Hmm, so far this month I’ve only had 2 referrals. I normally get at least 15 in a month, but to be fair, my CTR is down quite a bit as well…
Did you receive any of my emails?
Can you walk in to your workplace and tell your boss to give you your money anytime? No? Then what’s wrong with envato paying in the middle of every month?
Actually, I can… Now don’t get me wrong, I’m sure that there aren’t a ton of workplaces like that, but I can walk into my bosses office and request an advancement on my pay at anytime between pay periods. Then whatever I took out in that advance would simply be deducted from my check on the normal pay date.
I try not to do it often, but it is nice sometimes if you have an unexpected expense.
Why you have to be so funny
Well I don’t want to sound rude, but honestly for $5 you’re not going to find anyone who can design you something that’s any better than what you could design yourself…
