The main thing you have to do is look at the competition, learn from them. Then create something and refine.
I have heard too many horror stories and bugs with wp-ecommerce, I would never use it. I use woocommerce and like it.

It allows for custom sidebars that can be specified along with page, blog, and footer sidebars. I have tried setting a custom sidebar as well as using page and blog choices on the edit page but it none show up. All the other pages are set up with a “page” sidebar.

it’s not broken and it’s not an understanding thing, simply I decided on a different theme (from themeforest of course) to go with for a client. Understand if that is not part of the policy. I also understand that you have no way of knowing that it won’t be used, it’s not like I can send it back! regards, Chad
