Im working on this project where I have to analyze music and find changes in the beat. With changes I mean that the music gets louder or instruments start/stop playing. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I do have an almost working piece of code, which does the following: - Load MP3 into Sound object - Extract the Sound into a ByteArray using sound.extract(byteArray) - Loop through the byteArray, use readFloat() to get the energy level of each sample and place into an array - Loop through the energy levels array and create an average line
I can see that most places that go up/down in the average line correspond with changes in the beat, but have no idea (yet) how to find those places on said line.
You do know that Flash doesnt work on iPads right?
^ Hey I dont live there either, but you dont hear me complaining
Well, one thing is sure, I’ll be there too
What kind of data are we talking about? Because I do not think that what you are asking for is something you can do in Flash
Im not sure how you would want to do this?.. If you mean that you have a frame by frame animation, you might want to export it as a png sequence or something, and then import those to excel.
I believe its from “use namespace”, and not “use” on its own. Take a look here, under Directives: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/statements.html
First off, you dont need to create a new loader every time you want to load an image. Just one loader could load all the files.
Anyway, if you dont know what is going on, try adding a few more listeners for errors and trace those error messages. Might be crossdomain issues, or maybe something else. Using more listeners wont hurt
