That’s brilliant, have you considered Audiojungle as well?
LeatherwingStudios saidThis is kind of what I do, it’s going well!
yeah, I am probably going to join ASCAP…$50 as a writer and $50 as a publisher…I will do both to keep all royalties on my self-published stuff.
BUT, as someone pointed out, joining one of these orgs does not get you any money at all. you still have to do the hard work of marketing, getting published, etc. groups like ASCAP, at least in the USA, will just help you collect when your stuff is played.
My suggestion, as a new and hopeful (as yet un-disappointed Audio Jungle author) would be to maybe run two efforts. keep flooding AJ with 1/2 of your best stuff in hopes of catching that golden ring (or at least establishing a ready stream of beer money) while simultaneously seeking publishing contracts for the other 1/2 of your music. over time you should be able to see which is better or maybe you end up doing both?just my thoughts…I am so new I don’t even know what I don’t know yet!
I think we have a real problem with it in AJ we really need a search function that is more categorised for the buyer. I haven’t seen another stock library with such a general search anywhere! Please can we have this Envato????!!
I’ve had a good listen to your portfolio and you’ve got some great stuff there!!!
Don’t be disheartened. I think this particular track doesn’t reflect what you can do and listening to it in the context of your other work, it doesn’t sound as good, sorry I have had three hard rejects recently, a couple I thought were questionable, but actually now the dust has settled, I realise they were rushed and I’ve even removed them from another portfolio as I’m not proud of them!!!
They do know their stuff here…it can be frustrating and at times you can feel offended but I really think we should trust the reviewers (unless they reject me again!!!!...only joking!)
FlossieWood saidYou’re right about customizing. However, I found mine on GR, contacted the artist and asked if he’d make some slight changes. He was more than happy to do so. Although I’d say you did pretty darn good with your new logo. Looks great!
Ha ha brilliant, but I couldn’t figure out how to customise! Also not so many musical logos?
Thanks! I wanted to make my image less girly – think it was putting the (probably mostly male) buyers off! I will report back with the result!
Ah yes, the dreaded queue Russian Roulette, Submit your files, Don’t know where it will land, maybe a Thursday, Monday or Sunday, No one knows.
Yes it does feel like that!!!
Gae47, thanks problem is I haven’t uploaded for a while it seems to motivate me more when the queue is short!!! But, you never know… though weekend sales are not the norm for me!
Robert I’ve recently found two Videohive authors using my music but they didn’t message me I found it using Soundizer have you tried that?
All may not be lost then!!! Unless….it’s a Saturday!!!
