April sucked for me saleswise, May only just began, but I almost sold more in these 4 days than in whole of April
Would make browsing for suitable tracks a lot less tedious for buyers! +1
I like the idea, Retro/vintage music seems to be getting more popular. 80’s funk especially.
Great addition, I always wanted more insight in who’s followed me!
Perhaps that is the main reason for the rejection. I created this track with a specific trailer video in mind. I guess that was too specific and not commercially enough.
That was exactly what came to mind when I first heard it. It’s dangerous to get too specific with your sounds because the goal of these kind of items is to appeal to as many buyers as possible. Track structure is key.
I think it’s just a matter of checking the ‘populair files’ section and coming to the conclusion that ‘ukelele’ and ‘happy claps’ still dominate the entire jungle. It’s really important to spot a trend before it blows up though, so keep a lookout! I try not to let trends regulate what I upload too much. I’ve played with the motivational genre a little bit, but mostly I just upload what I think is solid music, and more often than not those tracks get accepted. They don’t sell like crazy, but they sell, and that’s just fine by me for now!
It is, and will likely always stay a game of hit and miss when it comes to getting your tracks accepted. I think sentimental piano and trumpet is a good track, but there are some minor faults and maybe the reviewer therefore thought it wasn’t good enough for the jungle. I’m sure many reviewers would’ve accepted this track, so I think you just had a case of bad luck. I uploaded oldschool hiphop tracks of which I thought they would never get accepted because of their lack of commercial value, but they did, and they sold well. So there is not really a reason to assume AJ doesn’t want authors to upload tracks outside of the ‘happy ukelele’ and’ Inspire’ spectrum. Just keep trying and everything will be okay.
Hello fellow Dutchman!
A couple of things I noticed about the track:
Firstly, the violin comes in way too sudden, I would’ve liked an eery slow fade in of the violin samples, also just like Anthony said, maybe a little bit more attack on the violin, it sounds little bit too aggressive right now. Furthermore I think the reviewer might have been put off by the (lack of) progression in the track, it seems like there is no real progress, more a collection of different sound fx put together, which causes a lack of coherence.
Hope this helps,
