Reminds me a bit of ‘Deliverance’ from Bubba Sparxxx. Trap is not my thing, but I appreciate the experiment!
Beautiful stuff! I think you did the right thing by uploading it in this category!
Super slow still, going to focus more on funky tracks, hoping sales will pick up soon..
Couple of reasons I can think of why it might have been rejected:
Sample quality/usage: Some of the samples sound like they’re straight from the 80’s, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but I think it makes this particular track sound a bit corny. Also the string samples sound really midi-esque, not realistic at all.
Progression: I would like some more progression, maybe with some more percussion indeed. It never really lifts off.
I disagree, I think Audiojungle is (potentially) a great place for hip-hop. Having multiple tracks rejected does not mean the whole genre needs to be cut. Maybe it means the tracks didn’t have a high enough commercial value, I would really like to hear some of these rejected files, so we can comment on those directly, instead of speculating about what the reasons of rejection were. I also believe hip-hop can be too widely interpreted, but that’s a different discussion.
I actually completely agree with Michikawa. I really like the concept, but the intro is a bit offputting for some reason.
