Submitted my item 8 days ago, still waiting, even if we don’t count the weekends that’s going to be 7 days in a few hours
@salih as i said, there’s alot of details that I couldn’t think of, maybe we start paying for this type of review? spend about $30 – $50 for a review and save yourself a couple of days. That can work, maybe?
Just a thought on how to improve the review process here on Themeforest to save all of us alot of time. What if we have a preliminary review team made up of current authors only, lets say 20 elite authors.(voluntary). When you submit an item, these guys go through it first, they review based on the simple things your eyes can pick up, typography, spacing and design. If there’s something wrong, it’s rejected immediately with a bit more info on whats wrong than what we get right now, if it’s approved at this stage, it’s forwarded to the TF review team for final approval/rejection, which should take a shorter time because their workload has been greatly reduced. Atleast this way you wont have to wait 5 days only to get a rejection. of course there’s alot more detail to it than I can think of right now, but this is something I think will help all of us quite abit. Please let me know what you think
“Since BuddyPress 1.7, your WordPress site is no longer required to have a theme that explicitly supports BuddyPress. Instead, BuddyPress comes with support for just about any modern and standard WordPress theme (especially the default ones.)” You’ll even notice that on buddypress website theres no “Themes” sections anymore. But I still feel that the classification should remain just incase you want to build a super niche theme like a private social network for mums or something.
Didn’t the reviewer leave any comments? They usually do for soft reject. If so, please let us know, maybe that’s the only way we can help. Nice theme though.
I honestly don’t know why they’d reject this, It looks perfect to me. Can you perhaps include a twitter ticker at the bottom instead of a static tweet display?
Try and improve on typography and spacing, add some hover effects on links and images, maybe try some css3 transitions. Get a more vibrant color scheme. I don’t think you’ll be too far off after these changes
There are plenty, I’ve seen a few from Egypt, Kenya and south Africa (obox, woothemes). I’m from Kenya
Can you tell us what changes you made so as to get approved?
